“DO NOT TRUST !!!”

Have just returned from our holiday in Gran Caneria and had purchase the Calypso factor 40 suncream for children as I had read many reviews on the product and overall sounded very good. I followed the instructions and all the advice I had read applying it all over making sure nothing was missed and leaving for 20 mins before getting dressed. “Children's once a day range is no good for children!”

I bought this for my children (suitable for kids range) as they don't like to be topped up on sun lotion every few hours. I thought it was a great idea, although only protects up to 6 hours, so isn't really once a day. The 3 of them broke out in a rash, I thought it was sun related at first (prickly heat) although non of them have suffered with it before. Spots on the body and hives on their face. i suffer from itchy sun rash, have tried various sun lotions and still got the rash. tried calypso once a day both factor 30 then 20 and have both been very good no rash and still got a tan. briliant.easily applied 30 cream and 20 clear lotion. Will use again no problem. (read more)

I have just returned from Turkey where the temperature was higher than 40C every day. I normally use P20 or Ultrasun as I have fair skin. This year I purchased 200ml of Calypso from Home Bargains for £5.99, about a third of the price of the other products. The results were just as good, so in future this is all I will take on any foreign holidays. (read more)

I have black skin and I suffer from eczema and the sun makes it worse. Calypso sun lotion and spray are brilliant as it rubs in like a lotion and does not leave a white residue on the skin. It will sting a bit if the eczema is a little sore at the time but it soon goes and doesn't make my skin worse. I use it all over as well as on my face. I find factor 30 in the lotion is a bit too heavy and irritating to the skin although i am going to try the factor 30 in spray this year. I used to... (read more)

I have very fair skin and burn easily. I bought Calypso Once a Day as an alternative to P20 as it was so much cheaper and have been really happy as it works just as well as P20 for a fraction of the price! It's easy to apply and really does last all day with only one application, I have not been sunburnt since using this and would highly recommend it, this is the only sun protection I will be using from now on. Ok sorry i have not actually used this product but i have just purchased 2 bottles of 20 and 1 of 40 and was a bit concerned when i read about the fake bottles with sticky labels on instead of the bottle being printed so i called linco care the makers and they have assured me that they do use sticky labels
so after my holiday i will post my proper review on the actual product by the way i got mine from home bargins £5.99 i normally buy P20 £18 so i am very happy at the moment hope this...

I used the Calypso Sun Once a day application sun lotion.
It really does what says on the box, fragrance free, clear non staining liquid is quickly absorbed leaving no residue or greasie sticky skin .Apply it after your morning shower and go and have your breakfast, 45 minutes later your ready to head out in the sun all day and no need to reapply. It says factor 20 but I think its a little higher than that. I have tried other products which were much more expensive and this one really is the...

Can be purchased from Matalan! Very easy to apply. leaves skin feeling natural. used the factor 20 once a day on whole family and no-one burnt. Very pleased with this product. No bad points. (read more)

I've seen these Dry Oil Sprays sold in Matalan, Poundstretcher and in various chemists in the past, I'm sure they are still regularly available.

Both my partner and I were burnt using a counterfeit product claiming to be Calypso Sun Care Cream.
The way to check if your bottle is legitimate is:
Linco (Calypso) logo and application directions etc are printed on the bottle!
Where as the counterfeit bottle has stick on labels back and front.
Linco (Caylpso) top has a smooth edge top.
The counterfeit top is scored down the length.

My new stock from Linco Care Ltd Manchester has a single label that wraps the bottle. The Cap is smooth.

Linco did have an issue a couple of years back when their customers in Cyprus were getting hold of imitation products from somewhere else. This was quickly rectified.

<br/>Most of the products so have the designs printed straight onto the bottle, however with a few products the designs are printed onto labels, this is most likely due to the bottles being used for more than one product.

so you were sold and used a fake product.... why then review it as if it was the real one? you have made sure that the product is now at a lower reivew level because you had not used an "original" product?
