    Good Points: Cheap
    Good picture quality
    User interface designed for beginners
    Good auto mode


    Bad Points: Sluggish start up time
    Shutter lag
    User interface if you are a more advanced user
    Poor movie mode


    General comments: Bought the Olympus D-595 Zoom camera for my sister's birthday. Got it at a decent price for a 5 meg camera. The picture quality is very good, but this is a camera strictly for beginners. The user interface likes to hold your hand through every action. For experienced users, this will hinder as it takes more time to make changes to settings.

    However the default auto mode takes a good picture so is well suited to users who want a point and shoot camera.
