Good Points: Excellent value for the money. Great Portrait lens. Great all around lens.
Bad Points: I bought my 28-90 mm 2.8-3.5 series one macro used because they are no longer being made. It was dinged up and dented from being dropped and had obviously been used heavily by a professional before me. Despite this, the glass is in perfect condition and it still performs flawlessly.
General comments: This is my workhorse. I've been using it for years. I use it on a Yashica FX-3 body and it has never let me down. To see photos that were taken using this lens, Go to www.RobValineimages.com and type Vivitar 28-90mm in the search box. Most of my photos are keyworded with the lenses and films that were used to take them.

Because this lens has very short DOF range it's very good for portraits. Ev ...
