Good Points: Easy to use website, fast delivery..!!
Bad Points: The worst customer service I've ever encountered.
General comments: I purchased a £200 camera from Savastore...but they sent me a Japanese camera with Japanese instructions and on-screen menu's etc...They never answered the phone whenever I called or replied to my emails, so after waiting a couple of weeks I drove 120 to the depot in Luton. I felt the customer service was terrible, they told me they had an English version in stock, but then after waiting for half an hour, told me they didn't have an English version in stock and tried to give me the Japanese instruction again..?? I somehow managed to switch the on-screen menu's to English..?? and as i was going on holiday the next day decided to keep the camera on the promise Savastore would forward me some instructions to me (in English) asap...Which surprisingly they did..!! My whole Savastore experience was horrid and i will never shop with them again..!!

I purchased a 32" LCD TV DTL-632V200 couple of weeks ago.
I have noticed since day one that you can hear a high pitch noise from the PSU unit inside the TV now and again?
The colours seem to change and brightness when you are looking at the screen, what ever you seem to be watching. My original TV never gave any problems other than it is a few years old and I wanted a change. Old TV, colour and brightness/contrast was perfectly OK.

I bought an Inno3d graphics card from them last November 2006. The card developed a fault in March 2007. I contacted them, and they told me that Savastore.com had gone out of business and that Savstore.com had taken over (work that one out), and that I should deal with the manufacturer. They are in Hong Kong and are not interested. Moral of the story - ALWAYS BUY FROM DABS.

I introduced about 30 customers to Savastore last year, to buy parts cheaply, so I could build systems for them. I had 2 orders this year, but parts got cancelled off the order, and they replaced them for more expensive parts. This system that I am waiting for parts for, have again been cancelled. The delivery date changes for 2 days time and updates the next day for a further 2 days time.

Having had problems with a Sharp LCD TV, my initial contacts with customer service was slow and frustrating. Deciding to speak to Sharp service, I soon found that Sharp service was appallingly slow and inefficient. Their service engineer turned up a month later with the wrong parts. Two weeks later he turned up with the right parts, but they were secondhand repaired units and were faulty. Really fed up I returned to Savastore customer services and found them to be patient, helpful and efficient. ...

They offered me a good price. Items were in stock, and my order arrived when they said it would. I also received excellent e-mail communication from Savastore to keep me up-to-date with progress.

I have bought a number of items from them and not had a problem.
First off a 19" Samsung monitor and a Lacie 160Gb (Seagate drive) external. Both arrived on time and new, not repacked return.
I recently bought a new Canon printer Pixma 4300 from Savastore. My wife missed the delivery this time, as City link tried to deliver on a Tuesday at 3.30pm. My opinion of Savastore can be summed up in a single word AVOID.
However, a more detailed experience of them is included below:
My order with Savastore was at once, in transit to me, locked in the courier's van, in the despatch warehouse - but "we can't remove it from there once it's in" and delayed due to the courier "being on strike" (though they were answering the phone and making deliveries...) all at the same time.
In the end I drove to Watford, and after half an hour of listening ...

I ordered a Lexmark Z615 printer from Savastore. The price was really good and it came with the starter cartridges. I ordered it on Thursday and it arrived on Friday, and I didn't pay for rush delivery!

I ordered a laptop from Savastore. It was out of stock and I got a helpful email telling me it would be 2 to 5 days. The next email I got told me a laptop had been dispatched and they had charged me for it. It was £100 less and a much lower spec. I rang and said I didn't want it. Not a problem they said. If I no longer required it I would have to pay to ship it back to them!! I refused delivery, and it has taken 2 months (and many phone calls) to get my money back.

I ordered a camera from Savastore, which on their website was in stock. Then I received an email saying there was a slight problem, and that it would be a few days late. I ordered several items from Savastore that were in stock. I picked a day for the items to be delivered on a day that someone would be in.
I received an email the day before delivery telling me the stuff that was in stock was out of stock, and no new date was given. I wasted a day off.
They should pull their socks up, they are going the way of ebuyer.

We have used Savastore for all our computer hardware needs, and we have never had a problem until now.
6 months ago my husband decided he NEEDED a new computer, so we ordered all the parts, and everything arrived on time and in good order.
At the beginning of February the motherboard gave up, and we have been trying to get a return code so we can send it back.
All emails are not answered, and we are still waiting for a code.
Savastore is great when all things are going smoothly, but ...

27 Jan - order for hard drive placed. 30 Jan Savastore delivered wrong drive - label on packet correct but actual drive was cheaper, slower one than I had ordered. 8 Feb, return acknowledged. As of 27 Feb, no more progress, nothing posted on web site, no replies to four email chasers starting 15 Feb - impossible to get through on telephone. I will be raising this as an official complaint with Barclaycard after the statutory 30 days.

I bought a Sony Viao laptop from Savastore. They were at least £10 cheaper than anywhere else and the item was delivered in good condition 3 days later. I couldn't fault them.

Was so disappointed with Savastore - I use to deal with Watford Electronics when I lived in Watford many years ago. Back then they were great - now its all gone pear shaped.
I ordered a graphics card from them, but not only did it turn up about 2 weeks later, but it also appeared to be used. The seals were broken and the board was marked. I sent it back (at my own expense), and was charged a £10 restocking fee. Very disappointed.

JUST DON'T DO IT!
Having been stupid enough to think that if a company has been around since 1972 I did not need to read reviews, I ordered a keyboard and soundcard from Savastore. No keyboard sent, despite appearing on dispatch notes. Soundcard wrong card in right packaging (albeit non-retail OEM). I think they thought I wouldn't notice.

Savastore sent me the wrong product which was worth £50 less than the product I paid for! It arrived a month late, and now they are ignoring me!
I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!
