Good Points: Look.
General comments: Coffee doesn't taste nice - very weak! Go for an Italian company when buying a coffee machine. Dualit should concentrate on toasters!

The Dualit 84009 is a lovely machine which looks great and performs well. I can't really fault it, and we've owned it for coming up to two years.

The best feature of the Dualit 84009 Chrome Espresso Coffee Maker is the way it looks.
From that point it is all downhill. The coffee holder is built flimsily such that both the inner cup thumb restrainer and the twin exit nozzles have broken with ordinary use.
Furthermore, the machine generates insufficient pressure to develop a proper cream with a full load of coffee and, instead, blows steam from the frother. When you actually want steam there the machine does not produce enough and th ...

Have replaced two separate Dualit 84009 Chrome Espresso Coffee Maker machines - each of which developed a fault - the attentiveness and customer care was however first class - and given my overall pleasure with the product I think it is seriously worth considering!

Have just returned my second Dualit 84009 to the retailer after nine months use and obtained a refund (My previous machine was replaced after ten months with the same fault). The machine is generally very good but has a design fault on the filter holder. A rivit is welded to the bottom of the filter holder and after continued use it detatches and is not repairable. I understand Dualit have solved this problem on the latest version of this machine but stocks of this machine with the newer version ...
