Good Points: Easy setup, not expensive, good customer support
Bad Points: None as yet
General comments: Expecting setup to be a nightmare. I was pleasantly surprised how straight forward it was.

Absolute junk from a manufacturer who should be ashamed to attach their professionally-known name to it. Bought from Comet for 50, but it does work so can't return it! Replaced by a cheap Chinese brand for around half the price which has lots more features and is reliable in use.

If you have the money buy a proper cisco router otherwise Belkin kicks of these! I am guessing this particular model was literally a budget run and hence all the problems.

Don't like it. Replaced a old Microsoft B network that worked perfect for three years. The linksys has very short range. They want you to spend more money for an external antenna which I did that did not work. Still could not reach the computers in the house that the Microsoft had no problem with. Bought two Compusa 2.4 GHz omni directional high gain antennas I now
Have a good signal into all of the computers. Even the Linksys external antennas are junk.

Don't buy the Linksys WRT54G router.
After failing miserably to get the supplied installation program to work with my computer, I had to set up a network manually. For a while everything was fine until after a fortnight it started to fail. It didn't emit a signal and the only way to get it working was by creating a new network. It now fails quite regularly (once a week) and I've had to replace it with a Belkin.

MY Linksys WRT54G Version 7 modem was connected to my broadband in my front room. If I wanted to use my new laptop I couldn't go more than 15 feet away before the signal went, and every hour or so the signal would drop, even within range. I contacted tech support and I downloaded updates, and the system was reset, but this did not help. I took it back to PC World, and I was advised to get a Belkin G Plus MIMMO router. This is a much better router, and I have not suffered any signal loss, and I c ...

The Linksys WRT54G Second Linksys router I have owned. Swapped befw11s4 for this as this has WPA. Easy set up and good instructions. Works seamlessly with Buffalo G54 wireless card in old Sony Vaio. Does strangely drop connection to a centrino laptop for about 10-15 seconds though every couple of hours - probably has more to do with the laptop's settings though.
