    Good Points: Competitive fares.

Bad Points: NO SECURITY or responsibility for missing items, once checked in!

General comments: Brussels Airlines seemed like a good bet. Part of what was once Sabena and with very competitive fares.I took a flight on May 21st from Brussels to Madrid. I checked-in one bag. The flight itself was what one could expect from an economy airline.Upon arriving in Madrid, the bags came out in a reasonable amount of time. Mine being among the first. Everything looked fine!Once arriving to my hotel and unpacking I suddenly realized that some clothes were missing. Specifically one sports jacket, four long sleeve shirts and one short sleeved shirt. It was curious that they only removed clothing made from one designer, leaving all else. Though it doesn't look like they went passed the garment bag.If someone has the time too select what they want from a passengers luggage, lord knows what!!Brussels Air response? We're not responsible as, they say, I should not had taken the bag without checking it first! As I said, it looked fine, that is, fully packed. So you could imagine my surprise. Brussels police were of no help!Brussels the capital of Europe??On my return to Brussels I carried on all my good clothes and valuables that I had left!

SN Brussels is the offshoot of bankrupt Sabena, whose dismal reputation seems also to have been left behind. My flights between Manchester and Brussels were both comfortable, efficiently operated and cheap (GBP127 return inlcuding a peak-hour Friday evening return). The outward flight was 15 minutes late, but both captain and flight crew took the trouble to speak to passengers with connections and confirm that they were being held - these are the extra touches which count. Return flight 10 m ...
