I'm a person that likes cider over beer, cider gets me where I want to be quicker and it feels more like an energized buzz compared to beer that makes me mellow and sleepy. Frosty Jacks does that but the taste is very lacking, it doesn't have a strong after taste that makes me want to drink more, it's like a slight sweet taste and then a plain unfulfilling aftertaste. I can drink this stuff but its not enjoyable and I try to avoid the taste by not breathing through my nose. (read more)

What I chiefly like about this drink is its cheapness and high alcohol. I calculate this gives me more bang for my buck than most other drinks. I can get completely coma'd for £5. (read more)

My dad bought me a bottle of this a few days ago because it was cheap. My first impression was the smell of it, it smelt like bad breath. Then the taste... to me it tasted so cheap and like flavoured gunk. I found it hard to drink without wanting to throw up because everytime I had a swig I kept thinking of what must be in it. So after half a glass I threw it out. (read more)

This is the most disgusting thing i've ever had in my mouth. I've heard it's made from onions NOT apples. My experience from it was sickness and memory loss. It's so cheap, only the homeless drink it except for stupid teenagers who don't have a clue what they're putting in themselves. I can't believe people actually buy this stuff. (read more)

Frosty Jacks is quite simply the finest high quality cider available on the market today. This delicious well balanced beverage is full bodied with a full, fruity, clean fresh apples smell and leaves a robust after taste on the palate. Its value for money and effects on both the mind and body are legendary and I can highly recommend this wonderful tipple.
As George Bernard Shaw famously said "A mind of the calibre of mine cannot derive its nutrients from cows", and he could only have been...

Hi there.
As a homeless man this drink suits me just fine. I try to get something to eat before knocking this back but in all truth most of the money I get goes on this grog. Food doesn't let you forget your situation now does it?
There's almost no situation that this drink isn't suitable for. Take it for breakfast and it'll set you up for a day. Drink it in the evening to knock you out enough to get some sleep while using cardboard boxes for a bed. Drink it during the day with your mates...

Although taste and flavour is not one of its strong points, Frosty Jacks provides for some disgustingly cheap and messy nights, usually involving me suffering from severe amnesia and on the odd occassion waking up next to what can only be described as a chinese midget. Good times. Guaranteed Success! You don't buy this drink because you have no money left, you buy it for the experience that will follow after consumption of 22.5 units. Aston Manor Brewery Frosty Jack's is cheap enough at 3 quid for 3 litres. Run a couple of 3 litre bottles through a small home-made still and you have a decent bottle of good tasting "calvados" style poteen for £6. That's a half litre bottle of stuff at about 60% by volume. Can't go wrong at that price! (read more)

Frosty Jack's is great when chilled in a freezer but not so nice when served at room temperature. A lot nicer with a splash of Robinsons lemon, peach or blackcurrent juice. (Barley water coagulates and makes your glass go manky). It can taste a bit harsh served straight from the bottle.Great value for money when bought from Iceland at £3 per a three litre bottle.
on entering Frosty Jacks prize draw recently I managed to get two winning numbers. I have never received any prize yet.

Easy to drink with a mild taste and not high in acid like ordinary dark cider. Excellent value if you buy the 3 litre bottle for the price of two. I buy mine from Makro in lots of 4. This works out at only £2.26 per 3 litre bottle, so you can get merry for very little money. Not for those who are fans of ordinary cider. (read more)
