I can't get through to Tel3, all circuits or busy or Please hold for your party, or you are being connected now. I haven't been able to make a call in weeks. Awful.

I use Tel3 now and I had a promotion where I was getting at least 30% off for 30 days plus a cash back bonus. I have not had any problems so far. When I signed up for the account online I opted to turn my auto recharge off (so my card would not be automatically recharged) and I called into the customer service number to have my account recharged for $50. The call quality has been great so far calling to Jamaica I have had no problems. Also when I call into customer service I get a clear engl ...

I have used Tel3 for about a year now with only ocassional issues but within the last two months their service has become intolerable. I have been experiencing the same pattern of problems every time I try to make a call:

+ It takes multiple attempts to get a connection,
+ Most often I cannot hear or be heard by my party,
+ The call is dropped within the first two minutes of being connected,
+ The speed dial occasionally calls the wrong numbers

I would use up the remaining minutes ...

I have been using Tel3 servives for 4 years. They were providing a rather fair service to begin with. Over the past 4 years, service has gone down substancially starting with the billing of no terminated call to just the poor voice quality and the number connection attempt to be performed before a call terminate.

Far as I can tell, Tel3 is not defunct. The web site is down, the access numbers are no longer answering, and, leadin gup to today, the service was becoming unusable due to "all circuits are busy" messages.

Just wanted to post my experience here in case anyone reading this is considering signing up with Tel3.

    1) After signing up, there were instructions that said I should create a username to log in with. I did so and I received an email with my username and password. When I try to login on the site it says "Wrong user name". So I tried creating a username again, and they sent me a blank email. I tried logging in with the original username and password again, and it let me this time. However, ...

the access numbers not working half the time, taking endless attempts to finally get one to work, some that NEVER work and then when I finally get through to my call the person cannot hear me or it is garbled etc. it was perfect at first (4 month customer spending 100's of dollars) but it turned into a nightmare and intolerable in the last month.
Tel3 customer service answers phone right away--but then listen patiently and that is it!!!! They dont do anything--you get a form email the day af ...

We've had the Tel3 service for about 1 year. The first 8 months were problem-free but the last four have been problematic. Multiple tries to connect and sometimes no connection is possible Odd messages spoken in Japenese(!) and then English stating we've exceeded the number of calls/day and we only use it within the USA. We won't be adding any more minutes to our account.

Although calls are sometimes disconnected, the ease of use and the great price make it tolerable. Clairty is pretty good and the staff were very professional and very helpful. My primary use has been calling from the U.S. to Canada.

I used to use 101XXXX numbers to get cheap international rates for my overseas calls (ASIA). They were cheap and can be used anywhere. However, I converted to TimeWarner's digital phone service and found too late that those numbers are blocked. So I tried Tel3Advantage. The account required a $10 minimum to open, which I would gladly pay if the service worked. So far I have not had a clear phone call. The connections sound DISTANT and DISTORTED. It usually takes a few tries to get a connection ...

I've attempted to make several calls with tel3 advantage and all the circuits appear to be busy. When it does connect I often cannot be heard over the phone. The sound breaks often and the call gets dropped often. They charged me for each attempt.

I used the Tel3 service infrequently in the past year and at that time it was a reliable service connecting me to Mexico calls without a problem. As of late I have attempted to connect to relatives at least a dozen time for the last 3 days without success until today. During this connected call the call dropped out after about 5 minutes. I tried calling back and again I am unable to connect the call. To add insult to injury I was being charged minutes for the unsuccessful calls where there w ...

I have experienced poor sound quality at the receiving end when I use Tel3 to call Singapore. There is a time lag when they hear me and it always seems too soft. So most of the time, it just ended up they talking over me because they could bearly hear me on the phone.

I've just been using it for domestic long distance. Connection is fine, and the rates are wonderful. The website and account management is really superb. The single bad point is that I was given six local access numbers from my area, and many don't work. One never works, and several others hardly ever do. I've found one that often does, though. The former either don't connect at all, or ring without pickup, or more rarely pick up with no response. So when I want to make a call, it used to take a ...

I have used Tel3 since August 2001 and have had very good experience with it. I primarily use Tel3 for dialing my wife's family in Honduras as well as some domestic dialing. There are some Latin America cards that claim cheaper International rates, but they almost uniformly have connection problems (lowest priority for the lines), and the cheapest card services always have connection fees or other add-on costs that quickly eat away at a card's discounted value. Other people complain about Tel3 c ...

Terrible quality of connections overseas. About 80% of the time they can't hear or understand me, and there is often a bad echo. You can't get credit for a bad connection, or get back the money you put in your account.

I have used many phone cards and online long distance phone services, but nothing compares to my satisfaction with Tel3Advantage. I live in Canada and for a while I could only use their 800 number because they had cancelled their Canadian service, but customer service did get back to me in a reasonable time frame to re-connect me (albeit with the 800 number, calls cost 1 cent per minute more). But local access to Canadian cities is back, and I couldn't be happier. All my calls have gone through ...

    A nice web site.
    1. You need to spend 1/2 to get your call through if you are lucky2. In the meantime, you'll be charged for almost unsuccessful calls, usually they will credit your account if you call but it's too much of a burden as the overcharge will always happen for each try.3. Call quality is bad !I used Tel3 in the past, it wasn't that bad, although I was overcharged many times one or two minutes extra. Now it's the worst company I dealt with! So I wouldn't recommend for anyone!!! ...
