“False picture”

RUSSELL HOBBS Illuminating 21603 Jug Kettle - Copper Product code: 243421 On description picture shows it illuminates blue all over when boiling but it does not. There is a blue light that goes around the bottom, the only time you will see it all illuminated blue is if your in the pitch black,which I usually put light on when I go into kitchen. The staff in the first branch I went to was not helpful looked my interested in talking to each other and making roll ups said they would reserve item in another store when I got to the other store found out they hadn't but staff were more helpful and nicer in 2nd store

“Late delivery iof product”

ordered bluray player on a Monday for delivery within 5 days, received email on Tuesday saying it's on it's way, checked tracking daya after day, not dispatched until following Monday, the day it should have arrived by, finally arrived Tueaday 1 day late. No contact or response from Currys during that time.

“Dyson V6 Total Clean Cordless Vacuum Cleaner ”

We purchased one of these yesterday after doing a lot of research, the item is really well made, looks great and is very light, my biggest concern after just one day is that after fully charging it up (3.5 hours) I did my stairs which took about 5 minutes then went onto the hard floor with a different head fitted and the battery light started flashing! we then had to charge it up for another 3.5 hours before we could use it again. basically if you want to do all your vacuuming in one day then don't buy this... you will be disappointed. No review I have read says the battery only lasts 6 minutes on high power mode yet when you get it home and out of the box the manual does say this, the lower power mode states up to 17 minutes with the direct drive cleaner heads, and up to 20 minutes with the combination or Rigid Crevice Tool. Overall the Vacuum does do a really good job, however it lets itself down in a big way as it only lasts 6 minutes on high power and takes 3.5 hours to recharge.

“watch out for this one. what ever happens plan £9.50p”

Bought a new laptop last week, everything was fine until I went to pay, the assistant told me use the 24/7 help line as much as you want it's free for a month, what he did was sign me up to Whatever happens plan and Sets a Direct Debit of £9.50 a month without asking me. I complained I didn't agree to this is answer just cancel it if you do online banking. since when do shops sell me something I didn't ask for and think it's ok to steal £9-50 from my bank account.

“I ordered a washing machine via the currys site just...”

I ordered a washing machine via the currys site just before x-mas, which I found very easy to use. I was contacted via text to confirm my order and delivery date, which I was very happy with. The morning of the delivery, I received a phone call at around 8.30am confirming they were 10minutes away. They delivered the machine, installed and tested it, all within minutes, which I was very pleased with. The delivery men were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately after they left I found that the machine was faulty, so had to contact currys. I had to wait over ten minutes on hold before getting through to someone (note didnt have a landline, so used a mobile - very expensive!) when I did get through, I was given another number to ring. So I phoned the number, it was the manufacturers (Beko), they were quite helpful and wanted to make arrangements to repair the machine, which could have taken up to 2 weeks before a engineer would come to inspect it, let alone repair it, so I decided not to repair it and wanted a refund. So I phoned currys, following another ten minutes or more waiting on hold, I got through and was told that that would be fine, but to just stay on hold again whilst she arranged this. This is where I was disconnected! I phoned back again, waited again, was put on hold! So after another five minutes or so on hold (all the while my phone credit is depleting!) she gets back to me and tells me that I should phone another number, and then my refund can be completed. Reluctantly I phoned the number they gave me, not knowing who it was, when a Beko advisor answered! They had given me the manufacturers number again!!! So, again I phone currys, waiting another ten minutes. By now Im less than impressed as you can imagine, so when I get through I quickly explain my situation again to the representative, although this time asked them to phone me back due to my credit. The lady agreed took my phone number, and I waited for a call. She never phoned me back! I therefore phoned again, waited the ten minutes on hold before I got through and this time I was at the end of my teather. Fortunately this time I got through to the right person, and they phoned me back immediately. A refund order was made, and I was told they would phone me with a pick up date shortly. A date was set, although due to the snow it had to be re-arranged at no fault of theirs obviously. They did pick-up the machine on the arranged day with no problems - finally! Oddly I would recommend them, although be very firm with them and dont let them divert you, or ask you to phone another number - oh, and phone from a landline!

Easy to use - items were received on time. No hidden costs and a name you can trust. I would not hesitate in using them again in the future.
I reviewed the product in store and purchased online and received an additional £100 off the system.

Ordered on Saturday and arrived Wednesday as promised. Unfortunately it had a big dent in the door (probably because delivery men had removed wrapping prior to its arrival which I believe is not supposed to happen). Promised delivery of replacement Friday but rang delivery phone line and found they had no record of replacement delivery time. They were apologetic and provided a new date which was suitable. Finally delivered item 8.10am Monday in good condition. Delivery men were friendly, unwrapped larder fridge in front of me and took away old one as promised. No mess and no problem.

Would happily order from them again.

I recommend contacting which magazine, they may be able to help and have the contacts. they helped me and sorted it out and even published it for me. Hope this helps. Craig

I'd start by contacting my local Citizens Advice office. They helped me and gave good advice ones when I had ordered something online that wasn't complete.
