I ordered a Sony tv from Currys. I paid extra to have the TV delivered within a specific time slot. They never showed. I now have all the hassle of trying to get out of a credit agreement and get my money back. SICK people why couldn't they just let us know when they couldn't deliver. Honesty goes a long way; this kind of poor customer service is what made MFI go bankrupt. I think it is fraud.

Do not buy any product in Currys as they breach your full statutory rights by offering repair only under warranty. They refuse to offer replacement or refunds even though repair only first option effectively 'causes significant inconvenience' They try to sell back your right to no quibble refunds or exchanges on faulty goods even whilst under gaurantee with their own additional insurance. I brought a flat screen tv for my daughters birthday in January in may we took it back to the shop, it kept turning itself off,three weeks later we got it back, now is September it back in the shop the dvd is not working ,they can keep my daughters tv up to 42 days and they can not understand why I'm upset that is the policy after all.- Read Guest's review (69 words)

On September 4th we ordered a Daewoo American fridge Freezer from Currys. It was not in stock and would not be until Friday 11th.
The very helpful sales person promised to try her best to get it delivered the following day. Friday 11th we were told to expect it on Saturday. Saturday we were told it would arrive on Sunday. Sunday morning we had three calls to tell us that the driver had: a) a funny turn, b) hurt his back, c) hurt his arm

I bought a washing machine from Currys Cambridge Retail Park store on the Thursday of a week off work - I had seen their signs saying 'Next day delivery' but was told the delivery were booked up until the next Tuesday! I was told I could choose an early morning (7-10) slot, so I agreed. So far so average. I was told by the salesperson that the item would be unpackaged on arrival - and my paperwork confirmed this. I Bought a Panasonic combination microwave oven from Currys. Had it about a month and heard a loud bang! The glass in the door had shattered while in use. Took it back to shop. A week later got letter from them saying that it had been dropped and so would not repair on warranty. What can you do? It had not been dropped but it's not worth the agro of trying to prove your case for £100 so I have put it down to experience and will never spend even one more penny in Currys. went and brought a 1000 pound laptop, Big mistake, and brought insurance a fault came on 8 weeks later. failed hard drives. they sent it off took over 1 week later what a waste of Time. it failed again 2 weeks later failed again' you can see why people can't be Bothered with insurance anymore what a waste of space might has well brought a cheap laptop instead i ain't sure if retail is worth the hassle anymore it's gone straight down the drain lately currys has very very poor customer service- Read Guest's review (107 words)

I purchased a digital TV at the end of January 2009 and in May 2009 I could not receive a picture. I returned it to currys Torquay and they said they would repair it. If it was not repaired in 28 days they would replace it. What kind of service is that the Tv was only 3 months old. I was very angry with the policy of currys.- Read Guest's review (64 words)

my boyfriend ordered a fridge freezer from currys and booked a slot for the following Friday between 3 and 7 for it to be delivered. Come 7 o clock it hadn't arrived yet. On phoning the help line we were told that they were running 3 hours late and told that the driver was not answering the phone. Come 9.30pm the driver called us and said they would not be able to deliver that night, when asked why he seemed rude towards me and sounded as though he had just sighed down the phone.

Washing machine broke & needed one urgently as we have a 4 month old. Online ordering meant waiting 5 days, so a phonecall thru to "customer service" advised me to order in-store for next day delivery.As I've no transport, one poorly baby & nearest store is 2 miles away I looked for a store phone number to pay over the phone. Number went straight to .... "customer service"! I will never shop with currys again myself and my husband work for a living and really dont have the time to be dealing with this company, We spent hours on the phone to them I have never felt so angry with a company as i have these.
We have been shopping with currys for the last 15 years and have purchased many items of them.

We bought a fridge and freezer from Currys at Derby I went down to the store on Wednesday I paid in full and for the early time slot on Sunday morning 7 till 10 because they were fully booked I at 10.07 I received a call from the driver saying they would be there in 10 mins 10.30 they arrived one of the drivers said he did not get into work till 8 i'd ben up since 6.30 I am not impressed with there attitude at all dont think I will be having there delivery service again- Read Guest's review (90 words)

Bought a microwave in march from Harrogate store broke down in November retuned it to store and was offered refund or new machine as they did not have same model in at the time we were promised one the next day sure enough we got new one.

Reserved a 50in tv over the phone, was given a reservation no. Was told take it by close of business the next day. my husband did the 29mile trip to Aberystwyth taking with him the all important no, not thinking to take identification with him but who else would have that reservation no? At the shop he was told he should have brought identification with him. I recently bought an LCD TV from Currys Burnley branch. The picture was great but the sound was terrible when I hooked it up to my hi-fi. Customer Services (helpline) told me to take it back to the store, but when I got there they refused to accept the fault because EVERY DMTECH TV in the store had the same fault!

Went into local Curry's near Fareham, selected the cooker we wanted, salesman most helpful and filled in necessary info on in-store computer. Gave us delivery date and time - with a phone number to ring day before delivery just to confirm.
Delivery man rang 30 minutes before delivery due - arrived on time, fitted new cooker and removed old one. No problem.

We ordered a Nintendo Wii using their online facility, delivery was within 1 to 3 days. We received an email confirming the order. 3 days passed and we heard nothing, I rang them on the 4th day and was given the run around by ringing several departments including DHL. Eventually I managed to speak with someone who could help me,he said that the order would be despatched within the next day or two.

Staff standing behind counter not even asking can we help you after spending some time looking at T.V S we left the Curry shop .Some weeks later we required a new cooker so we tried a Curry store in a different area only once again to find the same thing plus when you finely got some one to speak to they had no clear knowledge of what they were selling or of payments. I can only advise prospective cutomers of Currys store that, in our experience, the on-line reservation system just doesn't work. The store is not bothered enough to do anything about it. Curry's on-line reserve and collect service simply has not worked! We reserved the required item for collection [a 15" TV ] and received confirmation from the store.
