I do not recommend buying from Ideal World. I ordered a pair of trousers and endened up with 4 pairs the same. Phoning customer services was a waste of time, they did not a clue what I was talking about, and just kept saying money will be refunded, still waiting. Left with a balance of £98.00 for a pair of £12.99 trousers.

I will never buy anything from this channel again, my refund took ages and I had to chase it up. Some of the customer service staff were generally "busy" and I had to wait for them to answer. I recommend sticking to QVC, their customer service is excellent.

I ordered an item on 22nd May. Money was taken from my account same day. Waited 28 days, item hadn't arrived so I sent an email asking for re-embursement. I was told it was dispatched on 29th June and would arrive 29th June, but it still hasn't arrived. Sent a letter to customer services asking for my money back, no response. I returned an item over 2 months ago but have not received my refund as yet. Ideal World customer services the worst I have ever dealt with. Have called them 15 times, keep saying wait a few more days. Then said I have to contact Peterborough direct (by post) as they can not help me! Some Customer Services!

I have now waited 2 months for a refund for an item I returned unopened. They told me it had gone to Quality Control and they were waiting for them to get back to them. I asked why it had been sent to Quality control and they said all returns are. This is rubbish as only faulty items get sent to quality control. After buying a product i realised i could of got it cheaper from amazon which the p and p is cheap and the item comes the next day.
I waited for for this product for 3 weeks and so i rang up saying where it is? (after about 20 phone calls and it connects you to an indian phone line thing ).They said its on its way but still 2 weeks later i got nothing. Essentially good products let down badly by reliance on what i believe to be an Indian call centre.
In my opinion the emphasis is on getting your money - NOT on Customer Satisfaction.
Because of the obvious language barrier, call centre staff often struggle to comprehend your questions and find it difficult to empathise with customers.

Ordered 2 Moira C bags. They did not arrive so I phoned after 2 weeks. Eventualy got through to customer services who said the delivery was definitely on its way, so I waited another couple of weeks. Eventually after many phone calls I asked for a refund which took another 2 weeks to be done. I was so disappointed that I did not get my Moira C bags, not even an apology from customer services.

Plenty - my last order did not arrive after 2 weeks - I phoned and was told it was cancelled - they did not know why - money would take 15 - yes 15 days to return to my accoun and surprisingly they cannot put you through to complaints - this is the second time this has happened and it will be the last- absolutely hopeless and ghastly presenters as well - fly flots possible the worst shoes I have ever worn.

Bought a steam generator iron which, initially, I was very pleased with. Unfortunately, after only a few weeks, the screw-in part on the boiler base became dislodged, it was impossible to tighten the filler-cap. I returned the steamer on the assurance it would either be repaired or replaced.They obviously opted to repair said item. The casing around the filler hole is dented and scratched and the rubber gasket is split. Clearly, a very amateurish job. Unbelievable.

Will NEVER order from Ideal World again. Customer Services out sourced to India with all the normal Indian standard replies. No matter how often you call you "have to wait a few more days" with no sense of how long that is going to be. 28 days after order, still no delivery but am "waiting a few more days" as there appears to be nothing else I can do.

I would never use this company again - there is no comparison with their rivals QVC.
You cannot query your order without making a costly telephone call and the customer service staff struggle to take even the most basic of details.

I ordered a large item from them on 15 March 2008. They stated that they shipped it via the ParcelForce 48 hour service on 19 March, but, despite several calls to their outsourced customer service centre, there is no prospect of delivery.

The amount of time and money that is wasted either trying to get through to the call centre. Try the middle of the night!. Getting a reply to an e-mail, write to the head office in Peterborough addressed to the company secretary and recorded delivery. I finally got a reply, a refund( although I have yet to see it in my account) and £10.00 as compensation. It is worth percevering .

Would buy craft stuff but nothing else I have learnt a lesson - they are not as helpful as other shopping channels namely QVC and their refund service is sooooooo slow I am still waiting for a refund 4 weeks after sending clothing item back and am awaiting another clothing delivery which I now regret ordering following the experience I have received.
