“Terrible customer service”

Reserved two bedside tables with the Reading branch. They simply do not follow their own policy for click and collect. No email to confirm stock, no telephone call to say they hadn't got any. Rubbish service, rubbish company. Even rang their customer service line who emailed the branch. Don't bother with this company they are a waste of time and effort. Hi there I went in to the store yesterday southampton and there was a manager, he was help full but I misunderstood him thinking he was looking at me in a horrible way. Where actually he was not he was really helpful and today when I called the store knowing I had complained he still helped me a very sweet way. “Appalling customer service”

My daughter ordered on line a sofa bed and was told she would be contacted in 7 to 10 days by courier. After waiting 10 days she phoned dunelm to be told it was up to her to phone courier and organise delivery. She phoned courier to be told they had no items to be delivered to her. So she got back on the phone to dunelm and so 4 days of being given an absolute runaround began. “Absolute rubbish curtains, even worse customer service”

I purchased a pair of ready made curtains online, costing a small fortune. I thought I'd pay more and get curtains that are great quality and last me for years to come. The bottom of both curtains are clearly not sewn straight, really obvious against the horizontal line of the tartan check.....the 182cm drop varies by a couple of inches along each curtain. I found what I wanted in store but they didn't have everything I needed for the full Bedding set. so I went home and used on-line ordering. I found I could order some for home delivery and found stock of the rest for collection. I bought two rose gold mirrored glass side tables on 01-01-17 The delivery date was scheduled for the 12th on the 11th I received an email explaining that I will receive a full refund and that the side tables are out of stock. “Torn duvet set”

Had damaged duvet set told to go nearest store 50 Miles round trip, was willing to do this however no stock there and they had no idea when there would be. Only had 1 torn pillowcase they could have sourced it from another store and sent it to me which would have been good customer service, but they had no idea, like robots. Terrible experience shopping at Dunelm. Ordered £600 worth of stuff and 4 weeks later still waiting. Customer services shocking with helping me and Store manager even more shocking. Nottingham -Good store poorly managed. It would appear that the reserve and collect system is about as inefficient as the normal check out system at the Nottingham store where management appear to be incapable of ensuring more than two checkouts are manned despite 15 -20 customers waiting for checkout service - a situation apparent over the last three weeks.... I received my order of Chartwell Wing Chair Colorado on 3.12.16 I noticed that there was a fault and the delivery driver made a note of it also. I have tried to contact Dunelm to report this with no joy at all. i have called the number provided several times waiting for periods of 30 minutes with no response. i have emailed several times again with no response. it has now been FIVE DAYS and I still have had no response regarding my order. Ordered click & collect mattress topper to Trafford Store which was supposedly supposed to be ready within 3 hours- approx time should have been 3pm Sat 5th- received confirmation email straight away 12pm saying don't come to store till you receive 2nd email ot text stating product was ready (apparently thus was in stock in first place). “Tried calling 3 different branches”

I tried callin 3 different branches of Dunelm, Bedford, Wellingborough and Kettering. Was on the line for 5 - 10 minutes to each one. Kept getting a message all our staff are busy dealing with other customers at the moment, please call back......which I did for all 3 and went through the same process apart from the Bedford store. Visited Dunelm in Wellinborough. Asked a member of staff for what I was after, was told they will be in the till area. Walked out with out even looking, the till area had a lot of areas to look. Could she not have taken me to where they were. I have since locates from a different store, who I will be doing all future purchases.

Having read the reviews I cannot believe the awful customer service, quality, delivery etc. We shop at the Dartford store and so far have no complaints. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous. Mostly shop in person but have found no problems with online items or shop and reserve. If you are visiting the U.K do not buy anything from Dunhelm. I recently travelled to the U.K and bought a number of co-ordinated items from a store. On my return home I discovered that one of the items had 2 holes in it, on contacting the customer service I was informed that i would have to travel back to the U.K to return the sub standard item as there is no other alternative they offer customers. This is the first time I have brought on line from dunelm for furniture, they are FANTASTIC you are kept informed regarding delivery of your order right up to delivery on your door step, staff so very helpful when speaking personally, which seems very rare these days. Would not recommend going to dunelm Nuneaton, the store as a whole is in such a mess. Staff are no where to be seen if and when I seen staff or management during my shop they were standing round and talking. I ordered 2bedside cabinets got a delivery date for 10 / 8 didn't arrive, phoned customer services and were spoke to as if I was stupid, the 10th does not mean the 10th it means the17th, but they asked me to do a review on something I had not yet got. Well they didn't like my review and their moderated didn't put it up, me being stupid I thought you had to be honest in a review and not make up one that suits Dunelm, why did they not just do the reviews themselves.
