“Online advert bombardment ”

Used online service from Dunelm for a kitchen bin my present from them was a constant and continuing bombardment of online adverts for the very same item I had already bought. “Poor quality fabric ”

This review relates totally to quality of goods & not the store. I bought a pair of curtains & didn't realise until they were hung that there's fault lines running through the pair!! When I compare the curtains I was replacing, also from Dunelm bought in July 2014 I see a definite down turn in quality. The faulty curtains were made in Pakistan, previous were made in China. “What a disgrace!!”

I ordered a sideboard from this store on 3rd January. Was contacted a couple of days later with a delivery date of 18th January. Received an e Mail on Friday 15th confirming delivery time slot. However on Sunday 17th January received a voice mail message from Dunelm customer service ( and I use the term loosely) stating that my order was cancelled due to it being out of stock and discontinued!!! “Appalling Delivery for my Dunelm Urban Bistro Chair”

Today, 18 January, is the 3rd day I have waitied for a Dunelm chair to be delivered. I ordered this on 7 January and received notification from UK Mail that it would be delivered on 13 January. When I rang to enquire why I hadn’t received it I was told that my house couldn’t be found. Another date was arranged, 15 January, but that came and went without delivery. “ceiling light faults”

I purchased 4 large ceiling light and almost £50 each every one came with 4 bulbs only 3 bulbs in each pack were working, these bulbs last no time at all on one lamp I have replaced the same location bulb 3 times in the last 2 weeks rubbish bulbs and expensive to keep replacing if the lights were not fitted they would have been sent back lovely looking lights the bulbs let them down… Read Full Review

Bought this rug for £200 feels gorgeous and lovely. Has so much bits coming off it and had over two months and have to hoover more than once in the day. Did not Expect such disappointing quality when paying so much. I had bought a cheaper one for £50 previous and same problem fluff was coming off it constantly. Did not expect this poor quality with the money spent on this. Really disappointed as I do shop here often but certainly will not be buying another rug. Bought a chair collette cream button back armchair got the wrong one delivered the delivery driver chucked it into my house and damaged it after 8 phone calls to dunelm and numerous phone calls to the carrier I finally received the right chair once received the chair wobbled and the quality was poor paid £200 for the chair looked like it was worth £50 was told I could have a replacement which meant more time of work for collection n delivery kept the chair even though it was a total waste of… Read Full Review

“delivery item went missing!!!!!!”

originally ordered two bedside cabinets and chest of drawers . They were delivered in September. Chest of drawers were damaged. It was returned to dunelm . Item them became out of stock. They promised to contact us when they came back in stock which they didn't do. My husband phoned by chance and they were in stock. Due to be delivered today. “Poor delivery service”

Ordered two curtain poles and a pair of curtains online. For some reason this order was split into three and allocated to two different couriers. Received an initial notification on the Friday to state that one part of the delivery would be with me between 14.18 and 15.18 that day. By 16.35 there was no sign of the courier so I went out. Maybe it is this week that is the problem bur I have just had a similar experience. An order was split into two parts with different couriers, the first delivered on the 28 Oct, the second today (5th Nov), but damaged. Dunelm can offer no explanation or practical solution. Customer service seem to have no leeway to take any steps other than further inconvenience their customer.

Consider carefully before committing your money to on-line.

I received a pop up for Dunelm on Outlook and, as I liked the store and wanted a couple of items decided to order I order one large storage chest and a smaller one. After 3-4 days, I contact them via email and said i had not received an order acknowledgement, 2-3 days later i emailed them to say i had not received an acknowledgement to previous request for same!!! “Time wasters”

I bought a corner sofa from the Grantham store and received a text telling me it would be delivered 04/10/15. As the sofa is going into a log cabin I have had built in my garden, I took a weeks annual leave from work, having been given the delivery date. I ordered a couple of items online for "Reserve & Collect". Received an email to say items were in stock and should be available to collect in 3 hours but to wait for a further email before going to the store. FOUR DAYS later, the second email arrived, by which time I had purchased the items from Tesco Direct, assuming Dunelm had forgotten about me. Ordering online to collect in store the webite says the product is in stock then on route to pick up a phone call to say the dont.when you are able to order an item you get non packaged ex display without ever being informed that it has sat on a shelf and been handled by god knows who for how long.Terrible company and bad service .feel sorry for the staff.i dont like the fact that their stock levels on line dont actally correspond with whats in store leading to frustration for the customer… Read Full Review

Having purchased 2 gas bar chairs from Dunhelm ,payment made order accepted and being told that couriers will be in touch for delivery, I suddenly received an email for refund saying they had made a mistake ! “Dissapointed at change of price. ”

I ordered curtains and I am pleased with them. Make sure the consultant gives you a complete run down of how much they will cost and if you are using existing rail make sure they state that on your estimate. I did not do this and after she came back she changed the price saying that because I was using my own rail she had not measured correctly and had to charge for extra material (the rail is and expanding rail).
