    holidaying alone with my 5 grand children aged 6 to 12 even thou it rained for 3 of the 5 days we were there it was a fantatic holiday food in the mash and barrel was great as were the staff helpful and patient entertainment both day and night was great and i must add as all staff were extreemly helpful from maintaince to reception i will definately be rebooking agan next year in fact im looking now for avainabilty

    have been going to haven sites for about 6 years now. if you can tolerate the rude, ignorant people that seem to visit these sites and dont get sucked into havens money making machine you can have a good, cheap holiday exploring the local area. i found the caravan clean & spacious. the entertainment was rubbish, as usual, having to get a seat at 5pm any later or you wouldn't have a chance of seeing it.
    the facilities were small, shabby and staff didnt give one. food was chips, chips and well, ch ...

    The Orchards is awful.have been to some haven parks which are good, eg great yarmouth, but do not book a holiday here. staff rude and unhelpful beyond belief. unhyginic and dirty. tatty and run down. caravan was nice and the area is beautiful but dont book here

    the orchards was a definate experience....not a good one though!! the cleanliness was really bad,toilets was not regularly cleaned they were in fact discusting, the whole place was grimey and dirty and i would recommend no one go there unless they really had to!!! they really need to do some major refurbishment and hygeine inspections!!!

    worst holiday ever at Haven Holidays, The Orchards. very expensive including activities. pedal gocarts £10 a hour and in very poor condition, food, beer prices, club was dirty. swimming pool closes at 5pm every day so you are forced into arcades or club to spend even more money. caravan dirty. staff very unpolite and not very unhelpful. would not recommend haven to anybody. have complained but just been fobbed off. very unprofessional. my advice dont go.

    me and my family have jus returned from a 6 night break at haven ,(the orchards) may 2009 ,and if i had read these reviews b4 ,i never wud have booked !!! but we had a brillant time ,i have 2 small boys between the ages of 6-8 and the smiles on there faces the whole time we were there ,(i dnt no wat the rest of these peeps r tlaking about ) the accomadation was very clean and tidy (we booked the superior plus 4 8 people) it was a very nice caravan to stay in but take extra blankets co in the ev ...

    Haven Holidays, The Orchards had a poor quality caravan.We(7 of us) went with vouchers out of the sun but even so really really poor.

    This is the worst holiday we ever had. We came home early and wish we never went, don't think you can get a worse holiday than that.

    Not very child friendly- 1 small fort and a roundabout on a piece of grass outside the shop does not constitute a play area!, geared up for owners and those with money. Mash & Barrel expensive for average food. Park in the middle of a shanty town/housing estate. Very Disappointed.

    Try getting a booklet together, with all the good places to visit and eat, this information can be got from other owners. More customer focus needed and better communications

    This site according to Haven adverts is wonderful the accommodation has various grades from Prestige down to Bronze.
    You get a similar impression of their sites when you watch Haven TV ads.
    We booked a 'Superior Plus', which was supposed to be luxurious and 'new'.
    The first one we were allocated was old, didn't look clean and smelt damp to me, on returning to reception we were allocated another, which although it was newer, it was still in need of cleaning and we decided to clean all the surface ...

    I paid £250 for a 2 night break, which to me isn't cheap. I just thank the heavens that I didn't book for a week, as this was the worst break I have ever had. The facilities are rubbish, the toilets in the club house were awful, the food expensive and limited, and the club house is too small and very smoky. These are only minor points compared to the state the caravan was in, and when complaining, customer service was non-existent.

    I would reccomend the Orchards to anyone but lots of the facilities are a long walk from the accomodation if situated in certain areas.
