This was our 4th Haven Holiday and was the BEST yet. My mum and dad booked their holiday at Hopton just from seeing our holiday photo's.(They have just got back Sept. 2009) We've never been disappointed with any of them and Hopton is a lovely landscaped and very clean park. The caravans are all nicely spaced out and the standard was excellent. We booked via the sun newspaper and upgraded to a prestige like we have done in the past and is well worth it. We were on Shorefield, on the second row with a beautiful sea view. Never saw any "rough" looking caravans and the site was spotless. We had a very hot and sunny week (July 2009) which made it even better. Our daughter is 10 and was quite happy spending every day round the outdoor pool for a week. The beaches are clean and because the site is right next to it you don't need toilets, cafes, etc.. to spoil it. Gorleston beach is excellent and a visit to Bewilderwood is a must. We will definately be going back next year and so will my mum and dad.

Been going to Haven Holidays, Hopton for years but this will be my last visit. The site has gone down hill, the management has changed and you can tell. The "new Supermarket" is just an expensive gift shop with no extra food lines. The whole atmosphere has changed. To make it worse I had to drive a 28 mile round trip to find the Jolly Fryer and get decent fish and chips - but they were worth it! Going to Caister next year and suggest you do the same!!!!!- Read Guest's review (88 words)

I have just returned from a holiday at haven hopton and I can honestly say it was one of the best holidays myself and my family have had in the UK. Having never been to Great Yarmouth or its surrounding areas before I was a bit apprehensive but as soon as I arrived I knew it was going to be great. The park is set out over a huge space and has spectacular views from the edge of the park. It has three different access points to the beach, the daytime and evening entertainment is fantastic (my daug ...- Read maggiep841983's review (208 words)

I visited Haven Holidays, Hopton with my partner and our 4 year old daughter in June 2009. We stayed in a prestige caravan for a mid week break. The caravan was very clean and had lots of luxury extras such as garden furniture, ensuite bathroom, toaster, dvd player etc. Our caravan was situated at Ocean View and we were right by the sea. There was one row of caravans in front of us and these were owner exclusive and were empty for our whole stay and therefore the area was very quiet and peaceful ...- Read havenholidayer's review (256 words)

We visited Haven Holidays Hopton at Halloween 2008, liked it that much we bought a caravan. We stayed in a gold, which was very basic and not proper central heating just warm air blowers which were noisey. Yet we have bought a six year old caravan its got double glazing, central heating, ensuite shower and toilet and its classed as a standard plus! (just because its not new!) Over the years if I had realised when booking with Haven, as we always go for prestige for the heating, we could have pho ...- Read joshypoppies's review (134 words)

I thought Haven Holidays at Hopton was really great for the kids and they had lots of fun. The entertainment at night was good as they had a mixture of things on. Therefore I think that the holiday park is a very good place for families to go. As we stayed in a superior plus caravan which did not have any heating in the bedrooms so at night the children got cold. Overall a good holiday but the accommodation could be better.- Read Dillaway's review (82 words)

my children loved it, i have 2 boys 10 and 7 and a girl 1. they all loved it. the funstars were very friendly.
the second time we went we got an upgrade on our caravan and it was lovely.

You get exactly what you expect from a caravan holiday, and is what you make it.We have been back to Hopton every year for 4 years, tried other parks, but not as good. We do pay a lot for our vans (over £700 in August), but the last two years have gone May Bank Holiday and had great weather. Evening entertainment was in most parts average and you have seen it all before. The fun stars could be more attentive, that said my two have been chosen to go on stage most years!!! Evening entertain ...- Read dwarren78's review (153 words)

Do they put the sun newspaper holidaymakers in the poorest caravans? I paid an extra £128 for a superior van but was greeted by a cigarette smelling place in my opinion, my husband and daughter in law suffered badly with their asthma during our stay, good job it was only 4 days I feel. If we had a nicer caravan I could not have faulted the place, the site was good if you had children, but if not, not much going on.- Read Guest's review (95 words)

We will not be going to Hopton Haven again. I thought the size and standard of the caravan was poor. On return from our hols I checked on the website to see if we had the caravan that we paid for. The pictures shown for a Standard caravan were exactly the same as the van we stayed in yet we were supposed to be in the higher grade van called Superior. We feel ripped off. Don't expect a beach with toilet, cafe, shops etc as there we couldn't see one. If you are prepared for the steep slope to get ...- Read Guest's review (234 words)

we booked a holiday at Haven Holidays Hopton on Easter weekend 2007 and were looking forward to it. We paid for a gold caravan, so were very disappointed when we collected our keys and drove to the caravan too find that it was very small basic and backed onto houses. we went to reception and asked if we could be moved, to which they replied yes but the all the other caravans will be just the same. So after traveling 5 hours from Poole we just accepted the caravan we were in.
We was looking forw ...- Read melanie1974's review (310 words)

We took a second holiday to Haven Hopton after enjoying one in 2004, but this wasn't so good. We hired a caravan privately, and cannot fault anything about it or check-in.We spent the days either on the beach or around the park, but evenings in the showbar. The funstars were few and far between, along with variety of cabaret. The cabarets we saw were very good, but we felt that entertainment isn't so good now, and all they want to do is put on a CD for long periods of time, which spoils the atmo ...- Read Karenw's review (124 words)

We spent a week at Haven Hopton Holiday Village from 10th - 17th of September 2005 and enjoyed every moment we spent there! As we new a Funstar (rep) from the park, we decided to go and see her again, she definitely made our holiday.
The entertainments crew was amazing! and we all got on with them very well and I'm still in touch with all of them today! My faves were Sarah-Lou, Amy-Lou, Dylan and Rachel (knew her before) although all are great and still talk to them now. They were all so easy t ...- Read tashanxious's review (232 words)

We spent a week at Haven Hopton in June 2003, with our two children, who were 3 and 2 at the time.
We all had a great time - our kids still talk about it now. Some lovely places to visit around the area. Our caravan was situated right on the coast, so you could look out of the window and see the beach and the sea! It was beautiful - highly recommended.- Read JayB's review (75 words)

From start to finish your holiday at Haven Holidays Hopton should be fun, fun, fun, and hopefully a bit of sun as well. There are different things going on day and night to keep the whole family entertained. The site has half a mile of sandy beach running parallel with it. There is a great indoor pool with a new splash pool and a good sized outdoor pool. There are lots of sports activities. Many of the caravans are privately owned and you can pick up a bargain by booking privately. It is a shor ...- Read marianba2's review (143 words)
