We went for a week 8th Aug 2009 in a platinum caravan us 2 teenage children and an 8 year old. Thorpe Park caravan was great except for the empty durex wrappers, leaky sink, damp smell. Food too expensive on site & all microwaved yet cost a fortune only go if you are loaded and have no children to entertain. Also to get a table you had to be there before 5 as its packed. My advice dont go ever stay at home and save your money!- Read Guest's review (82 words)

The pool is far too small, not enough room to move let alone swim and the teenage lifeguards are far too keen on blowing their whistles!! Also the 'New for 2009' flumes were not always open becasue they didn't have enough staff! No outdoor pool and the indoor pool only open 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. We booked a superior plus caravan and it was very grubby, and it smelt of damp and smoke. We went for the first two weeks in August 2009. The communal areas on site are filthy, most of the toilets had no ...- Read Guest's review (176 words)

CAMPING AT THORPE PARK
We have just returned from 4 nights in our tent and would advise anyone with tents NOT to book. The pitches are all uneven and prone to flooding. Following torrential rainfall on Wednesday we spent 2 hours trying to remove all the water from inside the tent and to divert any further away from it (the poor family opposite removed at least 12 bucket fulls from theirs). We later discovered that the pitches are actually on a sand bank therefore having no drainage whatsoeve ...- Read Guest's review (85 words)

What a hole, do not go there unless you are loaded & have NO children.
we went with our own caravan & the touring pictches have NO drainage so are constantly swampt, the showers are a joke with nowhere to get dryed & dressed, there is only 1 Dissabled/family toilet/shower room which costs £10 for a key then spend hrs waiting for the loo if your disabled like me.
the entertainment is a joke with 800seats for 14000 guests so you can never get a table, there is nothing which the kids can use ...- Read Guest's review (215 words)

HAVEN THORPE PARK LINCONSHIRE
WHAT A DUMP
We stayed for one week 20th July to 27th. 2009 in a Superior caravan with an 8-year-old child. Without a doubt the worst place we have ever been to. The caravan was dirty, musty smelling and had poor quality equipment and beds.
There were dogs running around unsupervised and some of the recreation areas, such as the roller rink, were strewn with litter and in a dilapidated state. Three young members of staff in the next caravan to us had loud music p ...- Read Guest's review (452 words and 1 comment)

Love this park but I wouldn't book a caravan with Haven, I'd book a private caravan, they are always clean. Haven caravans aren't cleaned properly in my opinion.- Read lynnemartin's review (66 words)

My boyfriend and I booked Monday to Friday just to get away even though we don't have children. The prestige caravan that we booked was not prestige at all. The splash back on the cooker hadn't been cleaned, the bottom of the cooker was loose, there was mold on the bedroom net curtains, mould around the bottom of the shower, the carpet seemed like it hadn't been cleaned properly, we found some shoes and a jumper in the bedroom storage so the cleaner's obviously didn't look in the cupboards etc. ...- Read wiccagoddess's review (326 words and 1 comment)

If you want a holiday then avoid this park.We booked a week in a (supposedly) gold caravan but the caravan we had was certainly not I would call gold class. I hate to think what the cheaper caravans were like. The park is an extremely large park and they obviously do not employ enough cleaners as our "gold" caravan was in quite a bad state. We have a young child of 2 so waiting for someone to come and clean it wasn't an option so ended up doing it myself. I did quite a thorough job and it was ve ...- Read Lefian's review (547 words)

We loved the holiday as was lots of childrens activities on. You are not far from Grimsby so a good night out or shopping trip can be had.
Evening entertainment was okay but was shocked when a group sang a Pink song unedited in the show bar with kids present. Also all the stopping in between acts where kids aren't allowed on dance floor is a bit much as kids don't always understand, on the other hand one you get past 10pm they do disco and activites that old children and teenagers would enjoy, ...- Read TUSH2000's review (122 words)
