Just returned from a short break in cala gran and after reading the reviews expected a terrible place.... well what a great time we had, the place was brillant and very clean, we did upgrade to a prestige with heating because of the time of year, 6 adults and 2 children and we were very comfortable. entertainment was fab and the kids were never bored. i would recommend to anyone. This was my first time in a caravan as always go abroad and like my luxuries, but will definately be going back. The staff were friendly and hard working, nothing to much trouble. roll on next year. All i can say is dont believe everything you read.

Just come back from a short break at cala gran. I must say after reading all the reviews after i had booked we prepared ourselves for the worst. We all stayed in a prestige caravan, 4 adults and 4 children and we had a brilliant time. We got a cheap deal so therefore didnt expect too much but if we had paid the full price we wouldnt have been too happy, as there were far too many stains on the carpet. Apart from that the caravan was spotless!! The pool is really nice and very clean although we d ...

was at cala gran from 19th-23rd october myself and my 3 kids and my freind and her little girl we all had a great time. The kids were never bored because there was so much for them to do. The pool was smaller than any local pool but was still a good size and the way its set out its good for all ages. I hate it when people say be prepared to spend money its a holiday camp not your local pounland if you dont want to spend money dont go on holiday! our caravan was spotless we couldn't fault it in a ...

i was employed at cala gran back in summer 2006 as a "pool receptionist" which was a new position created as a young boy had drowned in the pool previously.my job was to ensure all children cam in with an adult etc but the real problem wasnt the entry to the pool it was the lifeguards who are young lads and the 2months i worked there they did nothing but stand around chatting to each other! it was very frustrating to watch and one day after another boy nearly drowned i resigned.i refused to work ...

Just back from cala gran 25th - 28th sept 2009. The whole family enjoyed it. The caravan could have been a little cleaner but other than that the kids loved it. The pool isnt ideal for small children but if you go at a quieter time its fine. We would definitely go back next year for a short break.

We(3 of us, myself, husband and baby) have just come back from a stay at the cala gran haven site, we stayed in a prestige caravan which was lovely and spacious, very clean and tidy. We enjoyed the show of Bradley bear on the night time, my four month old baby was loving it! The only thing we did not like was the pool, to small and overcrowded to take our baby to. We ventured into fleetwood which we really enjoyed (small fishing town) , lots of character! Would definitely recommend this site ...

Based on the reviews I read before going to Cala Gran on 24th Aug 2009 I was very apprehensive about what we would find. Having read a fair few of the reviews and experiencing it for myself I would say that some people were very over the top, complaining about uneven paving between caravans and being too far from main park...this is ridiculous and does not affect your holiday. However with regard to cleanliness I would have to agree with the majority of reviews
Our caravan was a superior caravan ...

We went to Haven Cala Gran for 4 nights from the 10th to the 15th August. It was judt myself and my 2 girls, aged 11 and 4 who went, and we had a fab time. there is room for improvement, the soft play area is just a slide and the park has nothing in it, but i thought all in all it was value for money. Our caravan was one of the basic ones, and a little old but it was inhabitable. you get what you pay for. we are due to go back in October in a superior plus caravan, so hopefully it'll be much bet ...

Just returned from Haven Cala Gran after traveling 260 miles to get there and what a waste of money and time it was! We we staying at Superior Plus caravan which was so filthy we were considering leaving and staying in the hotel instead. We complained and complained and got nowhere. Took a lot of pictures of the filth, the mould (bathroom was covered in black mould and so was one of the bedrooms) and complained again on the day of our departure. We were offered £350 compensation (paid &pou ...

I have not yet been to Haven at Cala Gran, but i am booked up to go in October - i find it astonishing that people's opinions vary so much (often wondering if people are just putting such bad reports for fun, obviously some are genuine tho!)I think there should be an option to select what grade caravan people chose (not that it should effect the cleanliness etc at all!!) i have booked to stop in a supreme at the hope it will be alot nicer, i hope i can report back in Oct saying that the hol was ...

Went to Cala Gran 13-20 July. Had brill time. Kids Loved the clubs. The funstars were brilliant.Really easy to get to Blackpool as bus at gates and every 10 mins or so.The caravan would need redecorating but found clean enough.Had that good time rebooked for next year and bringing 2 other families with me. I read bad reviews before left and was bit dubious but was brill.

Went to Haven Holidays, Cala Gran, the caravan stank like a dog kennel. there were gog hairs all over. the smell of dog urine was awful. It was obvious no one had been in and cleaned . complained to staff, promised it would be cleaned still nothing. The staff finally came, offered to move us , the next caravan had a big blood stain on the quilt on the bed. packed up and left. got half our money back. taking the matter further. ruined our hoilday.
