When I say WOW! I mean it. This is the best book I have ever read and I am sooooooooooo serious. The detail is unbelievable and the story line is like no other. This is the first book that I have ever read and since then i have been reading everyday. I still have not found a book that draws me in like this one. I started it in basic training and soon found myself locking myself in a bathroom stall, after lights out, reading til late in the night. I would walk around all day with it in my ...

I came to Boris Starlings Messiah after seeing the telivision adaption, I was surprised, and pleased to see that the original was far bolder that it's tv sibling. Serial Killers in fiction these days are ten a penny, but in this case 'Silver Tongue' (Awful, awful name) was an interesting charecter, not in the field of a Hannibal Lecter, but his motive was clever, and undeniably original. The ending, and certain aspects of the story were quite contrived, the coincidences and unprobablities comi ...

Lets be honest, the book is lengthy at nearly 500 pages-it took me a day to read the entire book! I just couldn't put it down. The way that Starling uses the language and the intrigueing motive behind the killings were brilliant! Its just hard to believe that this is the first book that starling has wrote! The book's way better than the film and to anyone who's thinking it's just another slasher crime thriller, you couldn't be more wrong! Brilliant novel from an ingenious master storyteller!

Messiah by Boris Starling was a most excellent book. The reason why is because of how there are so many exciting and so many dramatic turning points. For instance, when the first murder occurred at the beginning of the novel, when the first murder occurs with the hanging it is only a few pages later when they say that the bishop has been beaten to death in his home. Again this is an excellent book that I would recommend to anyone who likes thrillers or mystery novels.

You will not believe how good this book is. The plot is so intricate. Things are revealed that you would have never guessed. The killer has one of the most interesting motives of any book i have ever read. I loved it. But be prepared for gore galore.

I am always reading a novel. As soon as i finish a book i pick up a new one. I've been doing this for over 15 years so when i say that this is the best book i've ever read u will hopefully appreciate how much i think of it. The atmosphere it creates is amazing and u really get to know and care for the characters. For about half of the book u will not have a clue who the killer is, and when the clues start apearing the book steps up a gear. It also has a few good twists as well for good measure. ...
