The Legends are brilliant. not sure i could give it 5 stars for 'enhacning my performance' - think only a miracle could do that, but really good shoes. Leather on inside of boot is incredibly soft. The air zoom heel, along with soft padded area by achilles makes the boots very comfortable. Only worn them for a couple of sunday league games in midfield, but I instantly noticed that shooting was much easier when compared to my Copa Mundials or Adipures. They feel very slightly heavier than Adipures and dont look as good, but the Air Legends feel much more comfortable and you feel more confident going in for strong tackles as they offer more... I love these boots, I have 7 different pairs of boots from different brands and from different price ranges, but I could more than happily use these Air Legends from now untill they fall apart. The leather on inside of boot is very very soft. The Air Zoom heel and soft padded area by achilles gives them instant comfort. I wear Air Legend II's. I've heard it said that k leather doesn't offer enough protection. Not sure if that's true or not. I can only say that I've been pleased with the protection these shoes have given me during the short time I've worn them. During one game, another player stepped on my shoe where the top of my foot rises to meet my ankle. I wear Nike Air Legends to play rugby and it is almost perfect in the field. I feel very comfortable when wear it and in every stepping forward and pushing I can feel more power compare to the old one. It doesn't design for rugby 100% so there are some movements which in football doesn't have that cause little problem. I give 9 out of 10 scoring this shoe. (read more)

The extra soft leather is difficult to keep in good condition and doesn't offer enough protection. Much as its a bonus to have a "feel" of the ball, it's also imperative that the boot protects your feet; if the material in the upper is too soft you won't get this and will pay for it in foot injuries. I won't go near kangaroo leather boots or other types that puts "style" ahead of comfort and safety. (read more)

I own both soft ground and firm ground of these boots and I can't even imagine buying anything else. I purchased the soft grounds last fall, mid-season, to replace my predator pulse blades which fell apart after about 10 games (extremely disappointing for $200 boots). I got no blisters or sore feet even with very little break-in time in my Legends. I made the firm grounds this spring on nikeid.com and am so glad I did. I like the Nike Air Legend football boots. I got the white Tiempo mystic ones (not the air zoom), and I'm loving them. Hell, I wasn't going to pay £40 more for a bit of air! The boots take a while to conform to the foot, but once they do, they are amazing. It's simple leather outer is great for soft touches and sweet crosses. For power, it is not as great as say T90's, Predators or Puldsados, but those are for shot takers anyway.

I have a fairly wide foot so I found that my old soft ground Adidas boots were a bit restrictive and gave me cramp in my feet unless I left them really loose. I bought the Nike Legend firm ground boots which have moulded studs and I haven't slipped over once (aka made myself look like a prat!). I used to get muscle injuries when wearing the Adidas blades. I own four pairs of these boots and they are the best about at the moment. I used to wear Predators, Vapors and Total 90's but the Nike Air Legends are the comfiest out of the lot. They wrap around your foot so well and when you make a pass you can feel the good (or bad) contact with the ball. The different colors you can get are awesome; gold, white, silver and more, or even black if you want a basic look!
They are also cheap compared to Predators, Vapors and 90's.

A quality pair of boots - have a great retro look and the leather is excellent. I used to have F50+'s but these are so much better. The external heel counter is a nice idea, and the air patch on the heel base adds to the comfort as ever. Although, I think its wrong, that Nike, have the cheek to charge customers an extra £40 just for a small plaster sized/looking patch under the heel, filled with air. The Nike Air Legend boots are pretty much perfect, you can use them on grass or astro turf and they work fine. I've used them during training on the astro turf pitches of the KC Stadium, and then cleaned them off (which is so easy thanks to a simple stud layout) and played on grass. They offer good padding around your toes and ankle, which benefits you whilst controlling the ball. I have had the Nike Air Legend football boots for over 2 months now and are one of the best I have had, they are very comfy and you can really feel the air packet. Because it is made of leather the boot shapes around your foot for ultimate fit. They are also quite light as well. The Nike Air Legend football boot is a must! I've had Adidas, Nike, Asics, Umbro, Patrick, Hemmel and Mizuno boots in my time, and these are the best by a mile.
The leather is really comfortable and just moulds around your foot. The price is great if you shop around. They are £69.99 in Sport and Soccer at the moment.
With most boots you have to wear them in for about two/three matches, but these felt wonderful before the first match.

I myself bought the Nike Air Legend ID boot because of the colour selection opportunity. I had previously tried both the Predator and the Vapor but the Predator is too expensive and I have never really been an Adidas fan. The Nike Air Legend boots were a God send. After wearing Nike Air Zoom Total 90 III's on and off for a year, I was yearning for a boot that provided a comfortable fit for a Sunday League player like myself.

I bought mine from Id and it only cost about 10 Euro more plus you get your name on the shoe and a gymbag that follows with it. And you get a colour choice far greater than the shops offer.
