Good Points: Brilliant graphics, good easy controls.

Bad Points: Players names are wrong so are the teams.

General comments: Pro Evolution Soccer 2 is a brilliant football game, with high quality graphics, I think this was completely worth the £14.99 I paid for it. I would recomend this.

After playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2 against a friend I was so impressed that I decided to purchase the game for myself. This game is everything a football game should be, fast, exciting, skill-based and innovative. In my opinion this game beats any of the FIFA offerings that I have played, mainly due to the stunning gameplay, the game is also fairly difficult when facing off against the computer (on various levels) and it is the sort of game that does not become monotonous and is frequent ...

Pro Evolution 2 has fantastic environmental features eg the fire works confetti when players enter the pitch and many more also there is a lot of teams to choose from and I tell you, you won't be dissapointed but it is better than fifa 2004 and the previous one 11/10 absolutely amazing.

Pro Evolution 2 is Ok it gives you a lot, but the names of the teams are so bad I'm a Liverpool supporter and it took me hours to find out which one was liverpool in the end I found out it was Europort and the lineup's are poor aswell for Liverpool Heskey Plays in Midfield Instead of Diouf.

PES 2 is easily the closest thing that you will get to actually going and playing the beautiful game. The movement and ability to build a realistic tempo to the games are a real bonus. amazing. roll on PES3!

The in-game part (ie, the actual football bit) is really good. There hasn't yet been a better football game than this. However (and for me, this is inexcusable) the options are just horrible. They're poorly thought out, and greatly limit what you can actually do with the game. Also, it's terribly out of date, and the player and team names are screwed up, requiring manual updating. So . . . a class game of football, sickeningly let down by some shoddy options and presentation.

I've read all the reviews above and have to say in some way i agree with them all to a degree. I was a diehard fifa fan and grew up playing most of them and thought it was as realistic a simulation as what was on the market. This was until i played a demo of pro evolution and found that, in game playing terms and realism football simulation had moved on to a different level. Fifa have tried to improve thier latest offering to incorprate wingplay and through balls such as Pro evo but has failed. ...

I've played both PE2 and Fifa 2003 and have come to the same conclusion as i did on playing earlier versions of both games. Pro evolution is just more fun! It has a better game playing environment and is a far more realistic simulation than Fifa although it lacks the options that Fifa boasts, such as european leagues, teams and players. The lack of these options and my craving for league football reluctantly led me to Fifa 2003 but within a day I realised Pro Evolution 2 is the king of footy sim ...

As an update on pro evolution soccer i can say it does not vary too greatly from the original but then again how do you improve on an almost perfect game??? I would like to see lengthened replays of goals as some of the moves that can be made in the build up to a goal can be quite phenomenal !!! As for FIFA !!! Don't make me laugh. The players run about as if they are on ice skates and once you learn how to score goals you can just keep repeating the same old moves over and over again. It ...

I've been a ISS pro fan since International Superstar Soccer first came out on the PS1 and it has just got better and better! Forget Fifa and this is football, the only game you need is Pro evolution 2, Konami habe reworked alot of the game play which for the experinced Pro evolution player keeps you on your toes, also for the new comers to the world of pro evolution its easy to pick up. Its just a great game, thank you KONAMI!

I think Pro evolution soccer 1 is the greatest game ever made, it is legendery. So the await for pro evolution soccer 2 was false as the reveiws did not suit the actual game. When you play this game you find yourself scoring far too many goals. Worst of all runs from the half way line are much easier than passing the ball and overhead and side kicks are far too frequent. I host a montly competition for pro evolution 1 and that will not change. Saying that the game is addictive and it's still a ...

This game is so naff. I can't believe I wasted my hard earned money on it. No players are updated and the teams have the stupidest names ever. This is just a copy of the first game.

On the day Pro Evolution came out Fifa 2003 also did, I bought fifa 2003 after long delibiration (I am a diehard pro eve fan) but after having fifa for a while I felt like something was missing, and that was gameplay!!! I went back to the store and got Pro eve and all I can say is pro eve is the greatest footy game of all time. If you like real football and live, breath, sleep, football then pro eve is the game for you. But if u like arcade unrealistic footy Fifa 2002 is for your ideal choice. ...

This game is fantastic in pretty much every way, its not so much of a sequel, just because the tactics required to succeed are very different than Pro Evo 1. The graphics are more refined, players look realistic, there are exeptions, but the game was written by Japanese Computer Programmers so give them a break about how bad Jerzy Dudek looks eh? The sound as I have said is terrible, I like the music after you have scored and the intro tune is rockin. Playability wise, FIFA never stood a chance ...

Firstly...the game play. I think different rather than improved. They have sorted out some of the old bugs but surprisingly they've introduced a whole load of new ones. In some instances you still overrun and stand still and perhaps most annoyingly the players simply stop runnning or change man unexpectedly. Scoring is harder but more formulaic, already I found at least three places in and around the box that if you shoot from it will go in ...everytime. There is less invention, far less o ...

ISS pro evolution 2 from Konami (for the Sony Playstation 2) has got to be one of the worst footy games ever. I also tried This is Football 2003 and that's a lot better. The passing of the game is awful and the graphics are appalling. I have to say that this game is one not to buy. Definitely TRASH not Flash.

The game play on Pro Evolution 2 from Konami (for the Sony Playstation 2) is really smooth. The edit mode is frustrating because i want to design teams and kits but you can only edit players. i want the players to do more tricks and moves with the ball. i've had the game 3 months and the reason i'm only mentioning the bad points is because they are all that needs improving, everything else is perfect so why talk about it? iss games are far better than the fifa games. if only the stadiums, teams, ...
