Can Dr George whitening gel be used on porcelain teeth with zirconia?

I tried Dr. Georges teeth whitening gel and it works, however it made my teeth patchy. There are parts that are very pretty white and other parts that didn't take to it. I'm nervous because I love my teeth. I don't know what to do?
