“Has gone downhill”

I used to love this website (I've had a login for at least 10 years). The games themselves are great. However, this is the first time I've logged in in quite some time (probably a couple of years) and I was very disappointed to see that the games are constantly interrupted by ads. It's ridiculous. “Game Freeze”

Just when I get the last requirement to finish a badge the game freezes. Also, World Class Solitaire doesn't work and hasn't for months. They blame it on java 8 and tell me to get java 7. “POGO Wont Allow A Full View Of It's Game Boards”

Pogo will prevent you from viewing the complete game board of it's games if you have "POP-UP" blockers activated such as Ad Block and/or Ad Block Plus. For example I cannot see the full game board of "Scrabble" (which I used to play on a daily basis) and I am now prevented from playing any games on POGO for this reason. They are desperate to bombard you with advertisments. They are trying to force you into buying a premium membership... essentially that is the only way you can play the board… Read Full Review

“Poor Pogo customer service”

Pogo is plagued with issues. They do not keep their members informed of what is going on. Instead you have to search for information as to why yet another game is not loading or simply will not work. It takes them far too long to fix issues -- with no apology. Nor have they ever responded to an attempt to contact them about an issue. Lousy customer service. “This site sucks!”

There is absolutely no "customer support" whatsoever. There are so many ads on this site it's maddening. My virus software actually popped and said my browser was using way too much memory. 538 MB to be exact. And do you know why? “Engineers program the tin heads to cheat”

When ever we play pinchele the bots cheat big time. Its so unreal no one that does not play does not believe it. I wouldn't either unless I played. Also, in jin they cheat so badly. If they are behind, the go gin on the first card in the next hand. In pinochele, they are worse..They don't like being behind, and the engineers have programmed them to get all the aces and double runs and etc... SOOOOO sooooo unfair. “Sick of Java issues”

I am so sick of the java issues that continue. My husband writes to then constantly on his account. He has a top of the line computer and it screwed up his computer so bad, we spent $200.00 to get it straightened out. I have and older smaller computer and now it has started giving me the messages about Java updates and when you update, pogo does not recognize it. Ready to drop Pogo after 6 years. “Use to be able to play against people not any more”

“Used to be such an affordable and problem-free place”

I started playing pogo in 2002, I think - Poppit, joined Club Pogo in 2003. Problems occurred then and were readily fixed. The main problem was the viciousness of players in various rooms. Now, however, it's all changed. It is a game site rampant with technical problems - games freeze, downloaded games completely screw up computer, tokens lost, credit not given for play, system shuts down. “subpar capabilities”

I have been a club member since 1998. Between my daughters and my nieces I renew 5 members yearly. There have been several occasions where the system was too busy so we were unable to play. I have not received a refund nor a proration. Pogo does not have the capabilities to handle the amount of members. Other problems have occurred where I was unable to finish games that I started. “Lost Another Club Member”

I agree with the majority of the listed comments. Pogo is really suffering and it's such a shame. With constant nagging issues that remain unresolved, it's become increasingly frustrating, especially when the membership cost to play these games with all of their problems, increases! “Fed up with Java,Pogo is gone.”

I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews here about Pogo. I started playing on pogo in 2001 and I have been a member for years.I downloaded the newest Java last week and received yet another different pop up warning box playing a pogo game about security.I am fed up with the pop up Java boxes and the frequent downloading of Java "fixes". Pogo.com used to be a great, fun site to play all sorts of games with strangers and friends alike. However, the site has undergone some changes that have ruined the site entirely. A year ago, this site would have been a 4-star rating. But now, the site forced numerous advertisements - even more than they used to. “Frustration squared: tech problem then NO support help”

Paying customer for years. Within the last few months one tech problem after another. Just about back and running and then "Java" problems all over again. “P.O.G.O. - Poorly Operating Game Ordeal”

I used to enjoy playing No Limit Hold Em at POGO, but then there were several weeks when the game wouldn't load. For the last month, the points system has been broken. “Updates have lost Pogo a customer”

I have been a member for several years but the last six months I have had nothing but trouble with getting the games to work. Most of the time they just simply won't load. I am very good about doing all updates on my laptop and quite frankly, I believe this might be part of the problem.
