I agree with the majority of the listed comments. Pogo is really suffering and it's such a shame. With constant nagging issues that remain unresolved, it's become increasingly frustrating, especially when the membership cost to play these games with all of their problems, increases! I've been a Club Member for many years, but as of this year, will NO longer be renewing my account. I have never had more frustration, zero way to get real help, yet they have no technical problems in warning you well in advance that your subscription is about to expire. I love dominoes. I know i can't get above a certain point in my ratings, the dominoes seem to be fixed sometimes to keep you going. A hate all the ad breaks, theres too many and people disappear out of the game during them. I dont use the chat with the games as some people can be quite nasty and rude, they need striking off the games. There's really too many ads, that would be the worst thing i hate about it. on page ads i can deal with, but interrupting you in the middle of the game to show you a non-skippable ad that lasts 35 seconds?!?! nobody waits around and stares at the ad for that length of time, they go browse another site and come back to their game. the worst part is this 35 second ad runs every 5 minutes. So if an ad pops on the screen and you go visit facebook for 4 minutes to wait out the 35 second ad. another ad will come up after 1 minute. this can get very tedious (read more)

Loyal paying customers were blind-sided with a HORRIBLE new homepage. Now, even though I paid for a subscription with no ads, there is an ad staring at me each time I go to the site. I used to really enjoy Pogo and was just about to pay for membership when it was taken over by the Brits. Ever since then it has gone downhill badly. Games only load if the moon is in the right phase. Complaints are ignored. No customer service. At this rate it will be out of business in a year or two. I used to love playing on this site, but everyone has been having problems for about the past 2 years with games not loading, freezing, etc. Instead of fixing the problems, Pogo/EA just blames everyone's computer. You have to use specific Java, Flash, etc. to possibly play a few games. I have never seen anything go downhill so quickly as Pogo. They have zero in the way of customer service. Yes the new changes suck. i've been playing Euchre on Pogo for years. Very disappointed with new apparently thoughtless changes. Freezing often, can't say Good Game before adverts take over, not user friendly after changes.

Pogo.com used to be a great, fun site to play all sorts of games with strangers and friends alike. However, the site has undergone some changes that have ruined the site entirely. A year ago, this site would have been a 4-star rating. But now, the site forced numerous advertisements - even more than they used to. I do occasionally visit other sites but I love Pogo.com and use it everyday, literally. I think the price (Which turns out to be 11 cents a day) it costs for a Club Pogo membership is so worth all the entertainment I get from it! But even if you don't want to go Club Pogo you can still get so much fun out of the free games. I also want to add that so many problems that people complain about are solvable on their own computers. I honestly RARELY ever have any kind of problems playing games. The only problems I've had were before I learned how to keep my own computer up to date and compatible, and when the site has some temporary glitches after a big change which are fixed shortly.
That's why I mentioned the forums because there are so many helpful people there, which often can be more helpful than the actual costumer service. (Of course not with billing issues because its basically members helping other members.)
Also if the price for Club Pogo is too expensive for you, look into using CokeRewards and redeeming a membership.
Or use something like Swagbucks.com and redeem Ultimate Game Cards and use those for gems or a membership. There are so many ways to get free membership and gems.

I've been a free Pogo user for a couple of years now. I play primarily classic Monopoly. I never minded the banner ads or even the occasional intermissions on Monopoly World. I figured something had to pay for the game royalties. Recently pogo started doing commercial breaks / intermissions about every 2-3 mins. They last 30-45 sec. I have been a pogo member for several years now, as the years are going by it seems to be getting worse, used to have new games quite regularly but not any more, also they alter the win frequency for challenges they say they don't but they do. I haven't been on pogo since 2002 and back then it was great.. I tried recently and found that the ads would prevent a user with a slow machine even getting a game to load... being on a decent machine I still had problems getting games to load these ads are intertwined with the java and the games... If I did somehow manage to get a game to load, it froze or booted me every time a bunch of stuff was being loaded to the right and below the game screen..ie 'friends list', really? Pogo is a fairly good site to go on if your looking for games, and don`t get me wrong, there are good games, but the problem really is that this is 120 to 180 games, where there is just too many annoying and unsatisfying games. And, If you want to play 40 extra games, you need to pay. Pogo fills all the games with ads if your not a member paying, so it can freeze. A lot. I agree. What happened to being able to log in, pick a game without all the $ signs, and just playing. They tried to 'fix' something that wasn't broken. I had a membership a few years ago, and I missed all the games, but after signing back up, it is a real bummer. Don't waste your money. Looks like a big mess, and all they want to do is push things at you to buy, especially those stupid minis, nevermind the game downloads. hippibunni (used to be!)

I used to enjoy playing No Limit Hold Em at POGO, but then there were several weeks when the game wouldn't load. For the last month, the points system has been broken.
