Good Points: Park size is decent, it is cement, it's free and the edges are metal. They have every skate obstacle you may want in a park for the most part: rails, ledges, 1/4 pipes, bowl, pyramid, fun boxes etc.
Bad Points: Would liked to have seen a better variety in the ramps, could have made the ledges longer. It seems once you are locked into your grind, you are riding off the end of the ledge. Would have been nice to see a ledge or two to grind/slide down, not just the rails by the steps.
General comments: The Fargo Skate Park is an excellent step forward for Fargo. There is really not much going for the street skating scene in this town. The skaters are mostly younger and vary widely in ability levels. During the afternoon/evening hours it is best to avoid the park unless you don't mind over crowding and non-skating high schoolers hanging out. Best times to skate are early morning before it gets hot and over crowded. Night skating is fun, but it is hard to see because of the lack of lighting. The city of Fargo's parks technically close at 11pm, so the cops may come and give you the boot after then. Hopefully the city will put up another park or two. They started off really great, and getting tips from the local kids as to what they can do to improve, if they care to do so, would greatly help their success.
