I have the carens 2.0litre diesel automatic 7 seat LS CRDi model. It is very reliable, comfortable and has plenty of cabin space. the only thing I don't like is the foot operated parking brake but being an automatic gearbox their is one pedal less to worry about! I would certainly buy another one and have no hesitation in recomending it to anyone. My previos car was a Nissan X-Trail and apart from the 4 wheel drive on the Nissan the Carens beats it in all areas.

I bought my carens after my daughter purchased one, (I was so impressed.)
I took it back within a short time with the engine misfiring on acceleration in second gear at 2000 revs.at first i was told it needed a comp download, after this failed to fix the fault I took it back to our local dealer and rang Kia uk. they inform me the problem is the exhaust gas recovery valve, this I am told will be put right when Kia have found a solution to the problem. it then had a leaking water hose ,another d ...

Sincerely, I would love to own a BMW or Jaguar but even as i plan to change my KIA Carens , i find it difficult to resist going back to pick up the new model Carens. The value for money is irresistible and like i said earlier, my experience of reliability with KIA is also a winner.

I bought this Kia Carens at six months old in 2003 from a Kia dealer, it has now done 52000 miles, it no been reliable, it had a new injector under warranty, the brakes were binding the dealer didn't want to know. It's had new disc and pads three times at £300 a time, then the injectors failed again the kia could not find the problem. It was taken to a diesel specialist. Kept there for 10 days cost of £400 18 months ago. This week it had to be towed to kia as a none starter. they d ...

I would not recommend the KIA Carens. It is an unreliable car. Has a lot of fabrication troubles and the service of my local dealer is bad. So please, if possible, don't buy a KIA!

Paintwork on the Kia Carens easily marked, air conditioning works when it feels like it, gearbox has been faulty since new now at 65000 miles is almost impossible to change gear without crunching, brake pedal creeps at traffic lights or if you hold it on for any more than 15 seconds has been like it since new, only door handle that works from outside is the drivers, failed MOT at 26000 miles on suspension bushes these are again in need of replacement electric windows wiring loom repaired at 3 ye ...

Test-drove a Kia Carens LX manual model. Nice torque/power. Bought the 2008 EX model CRDi A/T aqua-blue. I am greatly satisfied with the power, comfort and safety feature of my KIA Carens.
With the price increase of the EX 2008 model, Kia should have retained the most of the good 2007 features.

It was my own fault, got carried away with the brand new car thing, in the show room & what appeared to be a good deal. Should have waited for the new type to come out a couple of month later but did not realise what a difference they would be.

Could not stand the noise any longer and sold my 6 month old car for a 3 year Fiat, what a difference, can actually talk to somebody whilst driving.

5 year Warranty is good as long as you understand it does not cover the entire car and they have to ...

Excellent value for money, but if my experience is anything to go by- don't keep it too long - sell at 40, 000 before troubles arise!

This is to all buyers out there thinking of buying "thinking peoples car" Kia Carens. Do not do not touch them.
I bought mine from a private seller 2 months ago thinking good value 03 registration 38K miles on the clock, automatic for £5000 with small scratches and no obvious problem.
First I need to have spare key; contact to Kia dealer Hummingbird in Collindale £90.00 incl VAT for a spare key no choice accepted it. Paid £41.00 for initial key and rest to paid when the k ...

I have owned our Kia Carens CRDi LE for the last 10 months, we have found the Carens to be a very comfortable car on all journeys. We have travelled through France with the car clocking up nearly 600 miles in one day with very little of the usual aches and pains that one normally receives from other cars. The car has good economy for a vehicle of it's size, generally it is a very cost effective car when compared to other models in it's range.
