It really does take a well designed product to get me banging on about it.

But when I find one, that's exactly what I do.

By profession I'm a telecommunications engineer. But I've done other stuff in the areas of industrial design, ergonomics, and marketing, and In my opinion the RE-ZAP box is right in there.

Another one of "these bang-on" products is my company van: Mitsubishi L300 - 2.4L, fuel injected, 5-speed manual. 1996 model with now close to 400,000 original km.

My little Road… Read Full Review

Excellent gadget - saves hundreds of pounds every year for us. We use a large number of Duracell 9v batteries in radio mics. Nearly every battery takes a good charge for up to a dozen times. A really good device - saves money and the environment!!!… Read Full Review

Please note that Digital Works, the manufacturers of the Rezap charger, do not recommend that you recharge Duracell alkaline batteries. I personally have recharged many different makes of alkaline batteries and the only one that I had any 'real' problem with was Duracell (when they leak they really create a mess, whereas other makes display a white power on the terminals or leak into the jacket). A battery wholesaler told me (they sell 1,000s of batteries a month) that the Duracell alkaline batteries were the WORST for leaking (even without recharging) of all the brandname batteries that they sell.

I confirm, Duracell batteries are also the worst batteries to handle for other battery regeneration devices. The DuoRegen, the Souvenir Cranwell regenerators also have more leakages with Duracell batteries than with other battery models.

They also leak more than the average other brands in normal use.

The reason can be the additives, or the vent, or both of them. This is an open question....

I have recently seen this product on one of the shopping channels and having heard what it could do, I quickly checked a few websites to make sure it was held in high esteem, and promptly bought one.

What can I say. If you have never owned a battery charger before, and therefore do not own any rechargeable batteries then this is a great product to invest in. It will allow you to recharge alkaline and titanium batteries up to fifteen times, which has got to be a saving to anyone. If like me you… Read Full Review

Bertie's Response to vocrobot's Review

I'm not raining on Re-Zap's parade, but if it claims to 'recharge' alkaline batteries, this can't be done due to the internal chemistry.

What happens is a REFRESHMENT whose efficacy is limited and unpredictable and is only suitable for alkalines which subsequently are subjected to a lowish discharge rate.

I've no doubt that Re-Zap is otherwise as the review claims.
