    Good Points: Friendly sales team.

    Bad Points: Everything else!

General comments: I brought a Renault Megane Coupe Cabriolet from Perrys Peugeot with two months warranty after negotiation for £9495, I was due to pick it up on 27th September, but just as I was about to make the journey they called to say the car wasn ' t ready, and they would call me next week to let me know when it was. I then had to all the insurance company to sort this out as I had arranged an insurance swap over that day from my PX.
I finally got to pick the car up on 2nd October, I was sold the car as an ex-motability one owner car, it wasn ' t until signing the forms after paying my deposit that I saw (they didn ' t tell me) that it was never motability and had in fact had two previous owners. Feeling a bit pressured I signed the forms and left.
The problems began on the way home, driving along a motorway the gear stick came off! Driving at 60mph I couldn ' t change into any gears, very scary.
They said to take it to my local Renault garage and it was fixed under warranty after a 4 week wait for the parts.
The second day of ownership the electric windows stopped working when they were down, I had to call out the RAC at night to get them pulled up again to secure the car. Again the issue was fixed under warranty.
The next week the first rain came, and yes the roof was leaking, again the seals have been replaced under warranty now, but I ' m just waiting for the next rain.
Then driving along with my two young children in the back the car started pulling hard to the left or the right depending on the camber of the road, making driving a real effort and a little scary. Then the car would judder if I steered to the right. I ' ve taken it into the garage two times and they cant find what is wrong with it.
We have written to Perrys officially one month in and they have not done anything, they have simply said its still under warranty so it can be fixed under that.
We have 2 weeks of warranty left, I went to drive my children to nursery this morning and the seats will not pull forward anymore (2 door car).
The logbook finally came through this morning, and the date recorded in it is two weeks before I brought the car.
I despair! I brought this car for an upgrade and am afraid to drive the car anywhere and Perrys will not do anything.
I would never buy a car from Perrys again.

I found a nice Renault Clio Mk2 I liked at Perrys of Portsmouth, struck a deal on the price and arranged for it to be picked up on Monday (it was thursday the deal went through) I was pleased when I managed to pick the car up on Monday but before even putting it into first gear I found the Airbag warning light was on..
I was reassured that they couldn't reset this because they are a Peugeot dealer and it would be booked into a Renault dealer later that week.. I was already disappointed, that mea ...

Contacting any Perrys Car Sales all I have found are unhelpful people. My experience with them was that they were the bad old days of push push push and get a sale no matter what you said. I contacted Blackburn, Accrington and Clitheroe as well as Milton Keynes searching for the car that I wanted but they did not want to sell me. Added to that one individual was probably one of the rudest sales people I have ever come up against. Needless to say I bought from another company.

I purchased a 2.5 year old Peugeot 206cc from Perrys Car Sales, Portsmouth for £11,150. The car had 5 months warranty remaining from Peugeot. Within a couple of weeks I noticed that the car kept cutting out (irrespective of whether it had been running for a while or the engine was cold).
On inspection of the car Perrys informed me it was the camshaft and as this had been replaced under the warranty and the car was now fixed.

Within a matter of weeks the same fault was occurring. ...

On 5th January 2005 promised delivery of new car for 1st March, they took £1000 deposit after confirming that car would be delivered on time.
Kept promising delivery up until 28th February when I was told the car would not arrive for at least two weeks.
Only ordered on the understanding that delivery could be on 1st March, was promised anything just to make a sale.
Order cancelled but deposit being held by dealer who refuses to admit that any promise of delivery was made.
