Good Points: I am still waiting for a good point
Bad Points: Poor service, not as described and faulty with life saving equipment displaying warning!
General comments: I found a nice Renault Clio Mk2 I liked at Perrys of Portsmouth, struck a deal on the price and arranged for it to be picked up on Monday (it was thursday the deal went through) I was pleased when I managed to pick the car up on Monday but before even putting it into first gear I found the Airbag warning light was on..
I was reassured that they couldn't reset this because they are a Peugeot dealer and it would be booked into a Renault dealer later that week.. I was already disappointed, that means if there was a problem with the airbag I wouldn't know about it.
The next day I tried to start the car and it took 4 attempts to get the engine going. I promptly phoned them up and was told to take it in. When I got there, and I quote this to 100% accuracy "Would you PERSONALLY let this car leave the showroom in this condition with life saving equipment showing faulty?" response "Well the company deemed it ok to drive so the policy is to allow the customer the car."
It has now been 2 weeks I am sitting in a POS Ford Focus that is falling apart and they still have MY car which today I was told I would get it back on a phone call in the morning, 15 minutes later I recieved another phone call telling me that there would be no way they could return it because the problems with the starting hadn't been checked out.

Contacting any Perrys Car Sales all I have found are unhelpful people. My experience with them was that they were the bad old days of push push push and get a sale no matter what you said. I contacted Blackburn, Accrington and Clitheroe as well as Milton Keynes searching for the car that I wanted but they did not want to sell me. Added to that one individual was probably one of the rudest sales people I have ever come up against. Needless to say I bought from another company.

I purchased a 2.5 year old Peugeot 206cc from Perrys Car Sales, Portsmouth for £11,150. The car had 5 months warranty remaining from Peugeot. Within a couple of weeks I noticed that the car kept cutting out (irrespective of whether it had been running for a while or the engine was cold).
On inspection of the car Perrys informed me it was the camshaft and as this had been replaced under the warranty and the car was now fixed.
Within a matter of weeks the same fault was occurring. ...

On 5th January 2005 promised delivery of new car for 1st March, they took £1000 deposit after confirming that car would be delivered on time.
Kept promising delivery up until 28th February when I was told the car would not arrive for at least two weeks.
Only ordered on the understanding that delivery could be on 1st March, was promised anything just to make a sale.
Order cancelled but deposit being held by dealer who refuses to admit that any promise of delivery was made.
