    Don't have to travel miles to crowded shops & some of there items are cheaper than ebay. Very quick delivery. Never had a problem with this company so i was amazed to see bad reviews. Maybe delivery to Ireland is bettter than UK. Out of stock on a lot of items, but this was around Xmas so i give them benefit of the doubt. Some items are quite pricey for an internet shop. They should lower prices as they don't have high st shop overheads. Overall an excellant service, always got the item delivered quickly.

    After wanting to order a DVD from Amazon for Christmas and finding the item was out of stock, I found the same item on 101CD (in stock) and placed an order. The order status online was checked and was "waiting to ship". It stayed this way until Christmas, with no sign of the shipment actually happening (I then cancelled the order).I wrote asking for an update on the order, but received no response.I would not recommend this site at all.

    I have never written a review before, and I wish I had found the Review Centre site before, because if I had I would not have placed an order with 101CD or had to write this review confirming what many people have said about them. No replies to emails, no goods sent and no phone calls answered. I am now having to go through the hassle of cancelling my credit card payment.

    I have never written a bad review about an online retailer, but felt strongly that I had to this time. I ordered a US CD from them 2 weeks ago, as the price was cheaper, and it was supposedly in stock. I haven't received any acknowledgement of the order. and I am still waiting for delivery. Thankfully, I only bought 1 CD from the 101CD online music shop.     I ordered 4 CD's from 101CD and I have received none. I have emailed them for an explanation, but I haven't received an explanation. I'm not even sure this is a real store?!

    I ordered a music CD from 101CD in April, and I am still awaiting delivery.

    The website offers on-line order tracking, which sounds useful, but in my experience it is a waste of time.

    In the past 7 weeks the status of my order on the on-line tracking has regularly changed from "processing" to "with supplier" and back again, with no sign of a delivery on the horizon.

    I ordered a few CDs as thought price was good. I receieved one out of the three and after waiting about 2 months for Dr Zhivago DVD 101CD finally wrote to say they couldn't get it. I used to use them a lot but they've gone down hill a bit but that could just be because I always order out of chart stuff.

    My first order with 101CD was placed in November 2004.
    I'm still waiting for it. Their reply to my emails is "please be patient".
    My second order was on the 2nd of October, so 16 days later I check and it's out of stock.
    I will never use them again.

    Bought a dvd set from the series 24 (it cost 83 pounds) the set arrived one month later and it was damaged before sending. I sent it back to 101CD ( 21 Euro shipping costs) and after a month it came back packed with soft carton that is usually used as filling paper. As you can guess it was damaged again. The edges of the diskset were dent.
    101CD mailed me a standard mail, I could send it back to them for another diskset No thank you, not another 21 Euro shipping costs !!

    I have ordered two Cd's from 101CD's web site, and I have had to cancel both, as they were advertised as different prices on price beating search engines, such as Kelkoo, but once I got past that, it transpired that neither CD was in stock, and it would take weeks to get them, so I knocked them on the head while I had the chance!!
    If you're not fussed about the wait - go for it!
    The telephone service leaves something to be desired. If your calls are answered....

    Over the past year i have received several orders from 101CD with no problems (delivery has always been a bit slow), but about a month ago I ordered a CD off the site at what looked like a fantastic price. The site noted 3-5 working days for dispatch. After 2 weeks my order still had not been shipped and the site still said 3-5 days for dispatch. I emailed customer services, but received no reply.     When I ordered a CD it was noted as Shipping in 3-5 working days. After 2 weeks my order had still not been dispatched. Sent 3 emails to customer services over the next week, but only ever received automated reply saying my contact had been received and I would hear from them soon, which I never did. After 3 weeks I removed my credit card details from their site, as I do not trust this outfit at all.

    Being new to buying CDs online I opted to go for 101cd.com because they had a good selection and seemed reasonably priced (but not as cheap as they think they are). I ordered 3 CDs, two of which were supposedly dispatched a day after I had ordered them. I could not believe that they had taken two weeks to arrive. I would have expected a week but in my opinion that is just ridiculously bad customer service. The third CD I ordered was 'On order with suppliers', which the site had stated could take ...

    Ok so the CD's are pretty reasonably priced and they have an ok stock. However (and I've only used them once) I received an email from them stating my goods had been shipped and thus should have arrived next day. Instead they arrived 3 days later....Ok not that long but other sites usually do what they claim.
    Sent a number of emails to them and none replied to which I can't stand!!!

    101CD claims to be pretty much the nadir of cheap DVDs and CDs - actually they seem to persistently ship incorrect items, are often more expensive than Amazon, HMV and Tower, and have a seriously inadequate costumer services department - my most recent experience with 101CD involved them sending one CD that was obviously faulty (severely damaged) and another CD that completely failed to match their item description.     I ordered "With the Lights Out" by Nirvana at a cost of £29.99 I received "Silver Box" by Simple Minds. I could understand the error I suppose because they are both box sets with silver covers. Unfortunately despite sending 10 emails over 2 months I have not received one single reply acknowledging their error and suggesting how it might be put right.
