    Newport News Women's clothing have the most horrible service and 'don't care' attitude from customer service.

    I waited over 2 and a half months for Newport News to credit my account with a return. Absolutely insane. I called them twice and spoke with customer service. I wrote emails and nothing happened. Between delivering an inferior product (fabrics are cheap and sizing is way off) and their return policy, I will NEVER EVER do business with them again. They need to get on board with the efficient, customer friendly on-line merchants like Zappos.com, and Endless.com. Newport News is horrible!

    You have to realize, when Newport News Women's clothing items are on backorder, its your decision to cancel them if you do not have to wait. The US is massive. Think about how many people order everyday. I find the Cust service representatives do as much as they can for you over the phone. I have shopped and had nothing but greatness : )

    I had to return everything I have purchased from newport news women because of poor quality, different fabric or color, compared to their catalog. The size was right, but nothing else was.

    Then, after 9 weeks of waiting they finally refunded 80% of the purchase price. I am in contact with BBB and my credit card company regarding this.

    Newport news takes long because they keep adding finance charges to their credit card account while you wait for them to credit your account. I got so fed up with them that I paid the balance off in order to preserve my credit. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN.

    The "Newport-News" store presents itself as a respectable company (they even offer their own credit card) with good selection of clothing and good prices.There are a few problems, though. First of all, during ordering, you may be surprised how big a portion of your final bill would be the shipping costs and handling costs.     It has been another week since I contacted Newport News and I STILL get their standard form message back!!! It will take 4 to 6 weeks to process your return! It has now been almost three months. They are the absolute worst company there is on the internet. If you make a purchase you will regret it.

    I will never deal with Newport News Women's clothing again! I ordered two dresses in March according to the measurements on their website and could not even zip them when they arrived. They looked faded and were cheaply made. I thought no problem, I will return them and get my money back. Boy, was I WRONG!     Terrible processing of orders and refunds. I placed an order with
    Newport News in April for over $340 and it arrived for me to discover poor quality items and sizing that was off the wall.     In March I did a check on my credit report and saw that Newport News showed that I had an outstanding balance. I have not used this account in about 2 yrs. and it was paid in full. I called to have them correct this error on my credit report. They then told me that my account was closed due to inactivity. I told them, it better not be. I did not ask to have the account closed.     I needed a cute outfit in a hurry and was happy to have found it at Newport News. However, 2 days after placing an order online, Newport News sent me an email saying my credit card was declined. I phoned my bank and thay stated they had not declined any charges on my account and had no record of any transaction from Newport News.     Newport News Women's clothing has great swimwear.

    Returned unwanted items on December 8, 2008. It is now January 11, 2009 (Over a month later) and I am STILL waiting for my $250 to be credited back to my credit card.     I recently purchased some beach wear from Newport News and was very happy with the service I received , Everything fits and I recieved my items within 2 weeks of my order. I believe That the service is very good and I just love the new clothing. After all where are you going to find beach summer clothing in Jan.

    I've liked almost every clothing item I've ordered from Newport News, and everything seems to fit well.

    I would second what someone else said about the shipping time. For God's sake, are they using the Pony Express? Every single one of my orders has taken at least three weeks to arrive, sometimes longer. I e-mailed customer service about this, only to be told that I must've ordered 'very popular items.'OK, every single time I've ordered?

    I have never had a problem with the quality of the items I receive from Newport News. They offer unique and exquisite pieces as well as classy casual clothing that still manages to be comfortable.

    I have been ordering from Newport News for years. Almost all of the pieces that I have ordered I still have and still wear.     Where to start... I returned 4 items, out of 6 from my last order. I thought they seemed cheaply made, cheesy material, 'faded' looking. It has been 6 weeks, with NO refund showing up on my card yet. I haven't called YET. I thought I'd give them a chance before writing a negative review. In addition, most of the clothing also seems to be for younger generations. I'm 58 and appreciate good fit and style.

    I had been buying from both Newport News and Spiegel for years and usually had positive experiences with both merchandise and clothing. But now, I feel very few items seem to be of really great quality, fabric and fit. In my opinion it's pretty hit or miss now, and I've also experienced pictured items not looking anything like what is pictured in the catalogues (colors especially).

    Ordered item July 7, credit card charged July 7. Item was supposed to be in stock and received in 3 to 7 days. Today is 7/25 and still have not received my order. How do they ship, Pony Express? Never again!

    I have been buying from Newport News for over two years, I am a size 14 to 16 and I purchase only the FX clothing, I have to say I love the FX fabrics and the fact that it contours my body. I do have good discounts displayed on my orders at all times, and they call me to ask if I am satisfied, if my credit card has issues, they call me straight away and give me the option of mailing in my payment or making another form of payment.
