I got this phone in 2006 and it lasted me until Feb 2010, when it finally broke. I had dropped it 100s of times on hard surfaces and lasted fine until the last time when I dropped it from about 5' onto the road (it fell out of my pocket). I the phone was VERY good with a 2Mp camera which was very good for the time. The flash was good and could be used as a torch. It also has MP3 player and a FM radio. The key pad layout was very easy to use. I paid £90 for it an it is worth every... (read more)

this was the best phone that i have ever bought. So great that i have chosen to buy another dead one from eBay to fix mine that i squashed under the seat of the car. generally an awesome phone with a good camera and music player. i have put a 4gb memory card in it it slows down when opening a folder but it has no problem playing my masses of music.

This phone cost me £120, at the time I could of had any phone, but why did i choose this? Well I am certainly glad I did, this phone had been out a year and a half when I got it and it was still upto date at the time, the camera was by far the best camera on a phone as the k800i had not been released then and I grabbed myself a bargain, the best phone i have ever had. Hi there! I have owned my Sony Ericsson K750i for just over a year, and I love it, my previous phone was a Motorola V220, but that decided to take a swim in a river, so it died...
So I got this stunning piece of kit, £99 from Argos on the O2 network.
It's comfortable to hold, the buttons are comfortable to type on for long periods of time (I play a lot of phone games and I have used the keypad for up to 2hours at a time, and my hands were barely tired!)
So in conclusion, (Sorry for the...

Really good phone, lots of features, everything I want in a phone.
Lets you have mp3's as ringtones and message tones, great that you can do film as well as photos, shame you can only video for 10 seconds.
I got usb and headphones to listen to music on it, because of usb you can customise your phone with all your favourite songs.
Only paid £79.99 from Argos, was desperate for this one and had to get it from another store miles away! They still do it, but not on virgin.

I have the exact same problems with mine. Phone doesn't always recognise the charger when connected and the joystick works occasionally. The one thing that really annoys me though, is the fact you cannot save text messages on the memory card. I have 47 messages in my inbox and 17 in my 'saved messages' folder. Now when I get a text, I get a message saying 'messages 100% full, delete now?' I know it's not the end of the world but I send and receive lots of messages and there are many that I would like to keep. I have investigated but cannot find a way of moving them from the sim card.

Sony Ericsson K750i is my first camera phone. The camera and phone functions are OK except that it takes a while to process each picture. The menus are less intuitive than the Nokias. You can't send business cards from the SIM card, only the phone memory. What's that about? And don't get me started on the PC software. Buy a USB card reader instead. I had the same problem with the joystick from my Sony Ericsson K600i mobile phone. I thought that it was just a product defect, but I soon learned that it wasn't when my brother told me that some of his friends using SE phones encountered the same thing about the joystick. It's probably SE's joystick design to be blamed for this. Makes me think twice before buying another SE phone with a joystick.

Sony Ericsson K750i is the worst phone ever! This was a replacement for Sony Ericsson k300i which was stolen. My Sony Ericsson K750i just went blank. I have checked the battery and it's fully charged, but when I try to switch on the phone, it does not come on. I have asked around, and people say I should "flash" the phone. Please, can you advise on what to do? I have all my accessories intact, including the PC suite, so is there any way I can repair or re-activate or "flash" the phone myself? I need your help asap. Thanks.
Written on: 19/10/2006
Hmm. By "flash" people presumably mean reprogram the ROM that runs the Sony Ericsson K750i mobile phone (ROM means Read Only Memory, and similar things are found in computers etc.). I can only suggest that you search on the web to do this, as it will need software, and will probably need someone who understands such (and unfortunately that isn't me!)

Well, after only 2.5 months of age, part of the joystick on my Sony Ericsson K750i mobile phone died yesterday evening without any previous signs. The below and left function does not work any more.
And the 4, 7 and 8 keys do not work either.

I went back to the shop today and they need to send the phone in to get it fixed, which can take up to 28 days. Fantastic, just the right time. I am looking for a new job and need to be available. As I have no insurance (why would you need insurance for a brand new phone, I thought?) I will not get a replacement, so I am not happy at all.

Apart form this I love the phone, and I was very happy with all the easy navigation and all.

Hopefully it will not take 28 days to get it back.
Written on: 19/12/2006
I wanted to give you all an update of what happened.
It actually took 28 days to get the phone back from repair. I remember, it was a Thursday and it was Lunchtime. All keys were working fine again!!! Until later in the afternoon ... when the exact same problem occured and the same keys that were broken before did not work again ..... You can imagine how I felt.

Next day I want back to CarPhoneWareHouse to complain and all they offered was to send the phone in again. After waiting for 28 days the first time with actually no positive result I refused to do this and after further 30 minutes of argueing that Sony Ericsson obviously could not fix the problem the handset was replaced and I got a new phone.
So far I had no problems with - fingers crossed!

Happy Xmas Everybody.

Overall, the Sony Ericsson K750i is a good mobile phone when it decides to work. When I first got it I was so impressed. Babs, I relented and risked a new SE 810i, which I've now had for a few months.
