Good Points: Looks good, takes good pictures, good phone for general use.
Bad Points: Crashes.
General comments: This is my third Nokia 3230 that I have received from Orange and it still crashes! When I contacted Orange with this problem, I was told that the problem lay with Nokia and there was nothing they could do until Nokia released new software for the phone.
The phone otherwise is excellent. It takes excellent pictures and is very user friendly. The keys are a bit fiddly but that's not unusual with new phones. I know this phone has had quite a slating but it really isn't that bad. It take 2 seconds to reboot it when it crashes, which is hardly a life time! I nearly always have reception on the phone. I also like the big screen and it is excellent for playing games.
I do suggest Nokia improve there software for all there phones, as it seems quite common for Nokia phones to crash.

I have the worse problem ever with my Nokia 3230 mobile phone. My battery ran down and I decided to charge it as usual. After that, the phone went off and I couldn't power it anymore. I swapped batteries. Mine worked in another 3230 but the other couldn't work in mine. what could be the problem. does it mean my phone has gone dead?- Read yorker's review (69 words)

Several features are missing on the Nokia 3230 mobile phone compared to my previous Nokia 6310i.
1. Screen lock time-delay (not included)
2. Birthdays don't synchronise between Calendar & Address Book
3. Can't search in Calendar
Generally, this is good as a phone, and the camera is good quality. HOWEVER, most other functionality is variable. It is great when it works, but 50% of the time it just crashes.- Read oulxpud's review (135 words)

I chose the Nokia 3230 mobile phone as an upgrade, and I received four 3230's from Orange until I got one that worked. On the first three phones the memory card would not format, and the camera would not go on. There was also no icon to notify me that a message had been left for me, and no notification of a missed call, even though I had been left a message.
On this fourth phone, the camera still only comes on when it wants to, and not when I want it to. It often does not even take a picture ...- Read rick77's review (370 words)

I am on my 3rd replacement of the Nokia 3230 mobile phone now! I have had nothing but problems with it since I got it, but as it was a contract phone I could not exchange it. Believe me, if I could I would have!! I am really disappointed, having gone for Nokia for years, and now this has really put me off!
The mobile is trying to do more than it is capable of, and on Christmas day it decided that it didn't like the memory card anymore, so it isn't registering it, and I have now lost all my p ...- Read Emz1978's review (196 words)

I generally like the Nokia 3230 mobile phone. I don't need all the bells and whistles of most new phones, I just need good battery life, good reception, a good camera/video, and the ability to talk and text, and the Nokia 3230 does most of these really well.
I have to say the buttons are a bit too small, and the function keys at the top sometimes don't line up with the text on the screen, which can be confusing, but you do get used to it. The loud beep before you get a message or ringtone se ...- Read 67Jon's review (281 words)

I am not very happy with the Nokia 3230 as it keeps tellimg me that there is a homepage memory error, the only way to stop it is to reboot the phone.
It will not save photos ..says no memory left or close some applications.
Will be taking it back to the Orange shop this weekend and let them sort the thing out.- Read nobbyninja's review (66 words and 2 comments)

I am very pleased with the much awaited Nokia 3230. Not used every application yet but pleased with what have used so far. Phone is very handy pocket size with a very clear and large screen. Has some good games pre-installed with superb graphics. If someone has worked out how to get rid of the annoying beep before the phone rings or you get a text notification could you please post how to get rid of it. Thanks. Overall I am very pleased with the phone.- Read keithfwatson's review (127 words and 3 comments)
