The Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide FXD 1450is a great motorcycle. I have a 2005 and with the hard leather bags and detachable windshield I love it.
Plenty of power. Big enough to go with the biggest and small enough to move around easily.
Basically a sportster front end. Mine.. the 2005 has 39 mm forks. The 06 and above have 49 mm which is slightly better but not much. Can't put forward controls on the 05 with an engine guard. Harley makes them for 06 and above but nor for an 05.- Read tractorhead's review (85 words)

I owned my Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide FXD 1450 for over 7 years and have just sold it for a very reasonable price. in that time it never once let me down, which I think is very good. when I brought it new I had it stage tuned and had screamin eagle pipes put on it, which made it sound like a proper Harley. I owned big Japanese sports bikes for many years before buying the Harley so I was a little apprehensive about what I would think of the bike, but I have to say that the power is OK and ...- Read ian macree's review (326 words)

Nice bike. One of the quickest Harleys I ' ve ridden. The handling is a bit suspect at speed. Especially when you hit a lorry rut or groove in the road. The rear can go into a scary weave. I think the rubber mount system is to blame. Don ' t get me wrong. I do like the bike.- Read Guest's review (57 words)

This is the kind of bike you just want to get on & ride (I covered 800 miles last weekend!). It also has an almost magical ability to chill you out & put a smile on your face. It is not a sports bike but is perfectly capable of covering long distances, in comfort at 'real world' speeds. If you want to travel the Queens highway at speeds of 100mph + all the time - buy something else.
If looked after a Harley Dyna Glide should be totally reliable (a friends Night Train has 95000 + miles on the clo ...- Read HDC's review (329 words)

It's been a few years since I last rode and the Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide FXD 1450 is heavier than my last bike but,I got used to it real fast.!! Someone else mentioned changing the handle bars for more comfort (sounds like a good idea) the FXD is a great bike for doing it your way.- Read Guest's review (104 words)

The Super Glide is a big twin with a sporty feel and it delivers. If you plan on customizing you bike why would you pay more for parts you are going to to toss anyway? Buy smart, buy a superglide, and spend your money on the pieces of the puzzle you choose, not the ones the motor company stick on it.- Read drunkenthady's review (91 words)

The Harley Chronicles
Thursday March 24, 2005 36 Degrees
This was the only nice day this week so I went to pick up the Harley Super Glide today and road it home. I did see a few flakes along the way. How appropriate for a snowboarder with a motorcycle. I have not ridden regular in 32 years and this was a lot heaver bike then I am used to.
A little awkward at first, but the first set of railroad tracks I went over let me know I made a good choice in this motorcycle. It went over those trac ...- Read edbozak's review (505 words and 1 comment)
