    Good Points: It is hard to think of good points about this machine. When it is working perfectly, it has very good suction. However, this doesn't last for long.


    Bad Points: This machine is heavy, cumbersome (and therefore difficult to carry upstairs), its hose does not, as claimed, reach the top step of a standard flight of stairs, and its suction decreases as it is used. The filter has to be cleaned very frequently (three to six months is a complete joke), and it is difficult (and throws dust everywhere) when emptying the collector.


    General comments: When I complained about the machine to the Dyson helpline, I was told that the machine was not designed for an environment where building work was going on (which seemed to include ANY DIY!), and that, yes, I would have to clean the filter much more frequently. I am not sure how to determine whether the dust I am picking up is from building work in the neighborhood, or whether it has flown in from elsewhere; all I know is that I shall never, ever, buy a Dyson machine again.

    There can't be a better vacuum cleaner than this one. We have had one for ten years and it is near indestructible. It is so easy to use and 100 per cent effective. Recently it broke down (due to heavy use) and Dyson sent round an engineer and fixed it for a minimal cost. Their customer service was exceptional. Don't ever think about getting another vacuum cleaner. Well worth the money.

    This is the best one out there. No other vacuum cleans like this one does. I thank you James Dyson for building a great Vacuums cleaner!!!

    If you have a small apartment then the Dyson DC15 is not the vacuum cleaner for you, as it's too big and bulky. That said, an average or bigger house with a dog or cat, or a seriously hairy husband, then you will love this piece of technology.

    It surprises me when I hear people saying they did or didn't like the look of it. Who cares, it works!!!! I don't mind spending the dosh either, so as not have to stump up constantly for bags. Mom says my house has never been so clean. As for the dead ...

    The Dyson DC15's main feature is 'The Ball'. The Ball is said to revolutionize the way we clean our homes (it even claims to have the men doing it!) current price tag is £300 - £350.
