Good Points: Excellent picture quality and amazing 8X zoom!
Bad Points: Try a tripod, if you're going to take a picture without flash.
General comments: The Nikon Coolpix 4800 is superb!

Overall, the Nikon Coolpix 4800 is a good digital camera. BUT... No international warranty. Poor overall Nikon Service for customers in India and UAE, so avoid NIKON 4800 (or any NIKON product) if you are in India or UAE.

The Nikon Coolpix 4800 was purchased to upgrade from my Coolpix 4300. The extra zoom (x8.3) is excellent and there isn't a great loss of light when using maximum zoom. It came with two recharable Li-ion batteries that last ages. There are many camera functions that let you manually adjust your images if necessary or a simple point-and-shoot mode for most uses. The menus are easy to use and it also benefits from a LCD display or LCD viewfinder - nice.
