Good Points: Still one of the most pocket-able digitals around, and with sliding lens cover, it does not really require a case. Excellent picture quality, even though it's a lowly 4.1MP camera you won't be disappointed. Real Sony quality that shines through in most respects. With a 1Gb memory card you can take pictures forever! Excellent battery life, even after 18 months of hard use.
Bad Points: A bit too petite for 'big hands'. Tiny screen by today's standards! Unimpressive flash that runs out of coverage over 10ft(3m). Low quality movie mode. Brushed aluminium case scratches easily. Clumsy tripod attachment.
General comments: The Sony CyberShot DSC-L1 digital camera really is the kind of camera you can have with you at all times. Mine has been put through some hard usage, and it still performs brilliantly. If you have a bunch of Sony products like me - Laptop, Television and PSP etc., you will find the memory stick downloads on all these things!
