    Good Points: Its a nice compact camera.

    Bad Points: My LCD lens has recently got a lot of mysterious lines inside the viewing panel. No explanation.

    General comments: I would highly recommend the Canon Ixus 700. The picture quality has to be seen to be believed.

    The built-in flash on my Canon Ixus 700 digital camera stopped working even though the camera wasn't abused in any way. The battery is unreliable and always giving a warning. My local service centre were unhelpful and they don't have the necessary skills to repair it. Buying this digital camera is my biggest regret.

    The Canon Ixus 700 is a super digital camera. it is lightweight, and takes excellent pictures. The only problem found so far is taking longish distance pictures inside gloomy buildings e.g. churches, and graduation halls etc., where the light is sort of 'in between'. I do manage to clean up pictures and enhance them, but it does take a bit of doing. It is easy to use to start, but some features require a bit of practice.     After a horrible experience with Canon's MV650i digital Camcorder, I was a bit reluctant in buying the Canon Ixus 700 camera but decided to go for it after having a look at it at my local John Lewis store. I must admit that this is a beautiful little gadget and I really like its performance. Its clear crisp and sharp. Would recommend it to all.

    I have had the Canon Ixus 700 digital camera for six months, and I think it's the best thing I've bought in a long time. I was never a happy snapper, but I am now! It's small and easy to carry around, and the picture quality is great for 6x4 printing. Never printed any bigger, but the manual says the quality should be there for the bigger sizes too. The manual settings take a bit of getting used to, but I'm not really a camera geek so don't know much about light settings and camera speeds. ...
