I would not recommend this device to any of my friends b'coz it hangs like hell as soon as any data (e.g. music files, videos, etc.) is updated in it. No keys work then. I have to wait till the charge in it is finished. And then again when charged for long i.e. atleast for 6-8 hours, when switched it doesn't guarantee that it won't freeze again. Because it does... How sad! I wish I had read those reviews well before buying it. Better go for an iPod than this. You atleast get a guaranteed... (read more)

I would not advise anyone to purchase the Philips GoGear HDD060. Battery life should be 10 hrs - I am lucky if I get 2. Screen far too small for photos. Very hard to delete tunes and does not accept any editing in script (ie spelling mistakes etc). On occasions I have turned on and found everything is lost so have had to start again. Very annoying especially if not at home. Could not trust it for my holiday so put tunes on my mobile phone just in case. (read more)

Philips should be selling the GoGear HDD060 MP3 player for less than £30 for the use you get out of it. A replacement battery with them is £99 fitted (What?! No way!). But you can get them elsewhere for £18 delivered. I would say "buy an iPod instead". (read more)

The Philips GoGear HDD060 is the worst mp3 player I have seen, or ever used. I had it less than a month when it froze, it suddenly started working again, this kept going on for a while, but now it's stopped completely, it doesn't even charge anymore, nothing works. It's useless. Nothing good to say about it. (read more)

I bought my Philips Go Gear HDD060 at Walmart just after Christmas and a few weeks later it froze up. It would not respond when I pushed the buttons or even when I hooked it up to the computer and pushed repair. I exchanged it for a new one and it did the same thing two weeks later. I take good care of my stuff and have never had problems with electronics before. I would not recommend this product to anybody (read more)
