I went to Italian Pane E Vino for the first time recently with my partner and some friends and I can only say that I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an informal evening with good food and great atmosphere. The only fault I could possibly find was the chips that were likened to those you get at McDonalds but heyho it wouldnt be enough to put me off going again. Really good food, excellent service and quite reasonably priced.

I think all you people are ridiculous, every single time i have been to the restaurant i have had first class service, and execellent food. I first went to the restaurant about 2 years ago and i've been i don't know how many times and can't fault it.

I've been to Pane E Vino's a few times by friends for their birthday dinners, mainly I guess for the reason that they get a tacky birthday song blasted out of the speakers when the cake arrives...this happens at least twice a night, there always seems to be a birthday table there. I think the only people who like the food are those who haven't actually eaten at a good Italian restaurant. Food is very average and the atmosphere is just cheap.

Pan E Vino was disappointing. One would expect from an italian restaurant authentic italian food. Upon ordering the pizza funghi from the lunchtime menu I was astonished when what I was served looked a bit like frozen pizza with some mushrooms scattered on top. It would have been cheaper to buy a pizza from the supermarket across the road and bake it myself. Some of the staff were impersonal and distant.

Very good, have been going for years. Italian Pane E Vino is just good a place to eat. Service is always friendly and professional. Food is always of good standard. Sometimes are a too quick in serving courses.

We have eaten at the Pane E Vino for 9 years now never had a problem with food, waiters or Tony the owner, who is very friendly and helpful,as is Conner the Irish waiter.Chefs are first class and have on many an occasion produced a dish of my request not on the menu. Thanks to all at the staff Pane E Vino passed and present for the good times in the passed and the ones still to come.

Pane E Vino sells good quality food at excellent prices. The staff generally are very friendly and helpful. I have been going there for over 10 years on a weekly basis, and I have never had a complaint, and my basis for comparison is of a high standard being well travelled and a regular at the Gleneagles hotel. I tend to find that the staff in any restaurant will reflect how you treat them, and at the end of the day they are human as well and probably have to deal with a lot of arrogant people ...

Food was awful, we were rushed through our meal from start to finish which lasted all of about 25 minutes, staff were arrogant, the atmosphere was like being in a very large crammed cheap cafe.

Very rushed - the waiter at Pane E Vino in Kirkaldy brought our main courses when we were half way through the starters. I told him we were not finished our starters, but he just laid the main courses on the table. I was more annoyed at myself later as I should have demanded he take them away, but you hear so many awful stories about meals returned to the kitchen. It's a pity, as the food is always good to excellent, but they must get some customers that will not go back a second time. ...

I would ask for a booth table next time I visit Pane E Vino Italian restaurant in Kirkcaldy. The steak was cooked to perfection, the quality was excellent, and the pepper sauce spot on! Staff were professional and friendly, particularly the Irish waiter.

If you want lovely food at OK prices, with nice helpful staff (when they aren't busy and stressed), go to Pane E Vito Italian restaurant in Kirkaldy. You will enjoy your time; just make sure it's not at the weekend.

It appeared that they also over charged us by adding numerous items to bill! So check your bill. We didn't until we got home, we will not be back.

The food at the Pane E Vino Italian restaurant in Kirkaldy is generally quite good, but you are rushed through every course. A member of my party (whose birthday it was) was reduced to tears after her "dealings" with the manager. She had wrongly ordered, and he wasted no time in telling her so, and did not even offer to replace the meal with the intended one. It certainly was not a "happy" birthday and none of us will be back (neither will our friends). No point in complaining though - who do ...

It is situated right in the centre of Kirkcaldy, and occupies a building that used to belong to the Post Office. The central post office is no longer there, and the buildings they once owned now house Thunder Road [a popular music bar], Kitty's [a good venue usually with live music], a hotel and further along the street lies The Pane E Vino. It is minutes from the bus and train station, and a large Tesco is diagonal across the road and it is approximately 2 minutes away from the rest of Kirkcald ...

I would not recommend Italian Pane E Vino to anyone. I didn't like the atmosphere, it was very loud. The staff are good but I was really disappointed in the food. It would have been OK if you like to eat cheap farmed salmon and a bit of steak that died of natural causes. Also, no cheeseboard as it went mouldy!

Food was below average at Italian Pane E Vino. The whole plate of smoked salmon straight out of a packet, was rather warm, and the potatoes were soggy - fillet steak was more like a sirloin. It was very noisy and you feel rushed from start to finish. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a relaxed night out, you almost have to shout to be heard by anyone. This reminds me of being in the school canteen and it definitely feels like it.

On arriving at Pane E vino 10 mins late table given to other customers. Therefore table available only for 75 mins. Told us he had rang us to check we were coming. Offered mixed garlic bread starter immediately. Mains ordered and to the table within 5 minutes. Within 35 minutes of walking in the door we were walking back out again. Not good for a family New Year's Eve dinner (party of 6 plus baby) Staff apart from the owner were very friendly (including the chatty irish guy). Bill came ...
