Good Points: powerful and reliable, enough accurate for hunting, it has a very good open sight.

Bad Points: a little heavy, an adjustable trigger would be nice.

General comments: i have an Mendoza RM-800 .22, that has something like 15 years old and it still does the job right, no body has opened it yet, it is the most respected model from mendoza in mexico.

I bought this riffle week a go from my friend in mint condition (well used),it ' s cost me $25. but it ' s well worth for this. In Sri Lanka it ' s hard to find .22 coz we get .177 for sporting purpose. finally I found it form a supplier ( Gamo)
it ' s heavy for me but I ' m not a big made :D. so this will not effect to some one with mussel power. so this never comes as a bad point.
tried some shots over 40 yards bulls eye ' !!! Very accurate nicely handle the power. from my shots 10 ou ...

Well for starters, I bough this rifle USED and in POOR CONDITION. Everything was rusted, the wood was half burned. However, it still had its awesome shooting power and insane accuracy (for something that looked so washed up). My Mendoza RM-800 still had better accuracy and more power than most of my newer rifles, and even though it was in a very mistreated condition, it still worked as if it were new. Most of my rifles shoot between 600-1,000fps, however the Mendoza started off at over 1,100 ...

Look, if you want a serious tool for hunting or plinking, or simply punching holes through almost an 1" of plywood, the rm800 5.5.can do the job well.
I have taken 2 huge squirrels with body shots, and both died almost instantly, don't mention the city pigeons that fall like rocks with torso hits.
And a very nice appearance in the shape of the gun.

I have been shooting air rifles for 20 years and was surprised when I started shooting this rifle since I expected less performance from it.
This Mendoza RM-800 made in Mexico is quite a gun and the company has been in the business since 1910. It has more power (850 f/s in 5.5 caliber), accuracy and build quality that my other rifles do not have. The dark wood gives an elegant and sharp look to the rifle, and it has good balance. The weight is less than expected and handles really well. If you ...
