As a first time rider, I was being quoted stupid amounts of money for a Honda ANF 125, I fount Devitt though a comparison site, and it was quick and simple they even rang me back a few times to check if everything is all right with my insurance, all in all they are perfect insurance company, and by far cheaper than any one else around.

I changed from Carole Nash to Devitts for one year. The switching process was a nightmare, they repeated failed to send out my paperwork leaving me unable to tax my bike. I sent my proof of no claims to them, which they claimed they never received then sent me lots of threatening letters that they were going to cancel my insurance. Finally when my renewal time came, their renewal quote was £150 more than Carole Nash so I called to cancel the policy. Months later they started sending me re ...

    1. Sent my docs to wrong address.
    2. Blamed me for address error (Duh!!)
    3. Promised replacement docs next day.
    4. No docs next day or even that week.
    5. They make millions of pounds profit but refused to pay for a courier to make good bad service when replacement docs did not arrive.
    5. Could/would not ride bike on road with no docs as proof of insurance.
    6. Docs arrived two weeks later which include someone else's certificate also.
    7. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND !!! (Not surprisingly) ...

I had my CG125 insured with Devitt Motorcycle insurance as they were the best quote I could find when I started riding two years ago. I've just changed to a SV650's and they only wanted an additional £85 to cover it (fully comp) for the year. Most other companies wanted a premium of well over £300. A good company, that if you look carefully also runs the official BMW scheme, which probably says something about their service.

Devitt Motorcycle Insurance wouldn't accept my two bikes as they were not the same make! Is that crazy or what? I asked if I should have two identical bikes, one in each colour in case one got dirty, and they said that this was "a good idea". They suggested I sell my KTM and Yamaha road bike and buy two of the same make!!

How poor is that? The reason for people having two bikes is for VARIETY.

I am insured with Devitt Motorcycle Insurance. Apart from the website being easy to use, I found the staff easy to talk to, and actually interested in motorcycles.

I rang Devitt Motorcycle Insurance on behalf of someone to update a policy, and I had the policy in front of me. I was told due to company policy they were unable to deal with the update, as the policy holder must ring. They would not answer a simple query because I was not the policy holder. This is totally unacceptable. The policyholder tried to ring at 7.15pm (note - they advertise that they are open until 8.00pm), and no one could deal with the update. What are you supposed to do? The po ...

I was put in touch with Devitt through the BMW Motorcycle website. Firstly I was misquoted; being informed that the price I was offered was for fully comprehensive cover, but it turned out to be T,P,F & T. I only noticed this when I received the paperwork (having already paid). I called and spoke to an operator and was met with total indifference and some ignorance. No apologies nor offers to correct the mistake was made, indeed I was told that if I cancelled the insurance I would have to pay a ...

I ride a GSXR1000, and unfortunately don't have any no claim discount to use due to a previous accident. Most insurers said no to insuring me and CAROL NASH and BENNETTS cut me off when I called them!! DEVITT handled my call professionally, paperwork arrived within a couple of days and the premium was less than I expected it to be. Very happy so far and am considering moving my home and car insurance to them.

When I initially insured my bike with Devitt the cover notes were endless, always running out and needing to be chased just so that I could use the bike which I needed for getting to work and back. Correspondence with the company failed to achive anything positive.

When I finally gave up the insurance and went elsewhere it proved almost impossible to obtain proof of the no claim bonus years that I had accrued making it difficult and more expensive to go elsewhere. Customer service just igno ...

Devitt DA were good until I tried to make a claim 8 months into my policy. At that point they told me that the insurers had suspended my insurance 2 months into the policy and that I should have had a refund. They then posted me the refund and notification letter they had 'forgotten' to send me. It was only after a lot of phone calls and I pointed out they had issued a new covernote for a change of address 1 month previously that they eventually agreed to cover me for the accident. Needless to s ...

I found Devitt via Churchill's website and have to say I found their quotation the cheapest by far. I only ride a 125 and I am 31-years old. I am paying £80 for TPF&T cover with a £150 excess - most other insurers wanted £200+ (I even had a quote for over £400 - yeah, right !). Highly reccommended.

As a female rider with my first bike (a little red Honda CG125), no experience and no NCD bonus -I was plesantly surprised at how reasonable my motorcycle insurance was through Devitt Insurance Servcies, they offered the cheapest quote by far. All the documents arrived on time, and the service I received gives me confidence that if I ever had to make a claim i'd be well looked after.
