Good Points: Splinter Cell Essentials fills in the blanks before and between the existing titles. Features a diverse storyline. Great for anyone who is a fan of the Splinter Cell Series. Multiplayer Spy v Spy mode bring a new element to the game, as in previous titles it was always spies v mercenaries.
Bad Points: Game play is fairly difficult and awkward, this is partially to do with the absence of a second analogue stick on the PSP. This makes things difficult when aiming weapons. However this would cause so much of a problem but the game itself seems to pose its own problems as you use the triangle and X buttons to look up and down and these seem to move your aiming cursor much too quickly with just a single tap. If you haven't played the previous Splinter Cell titles; it's recomended you give this one a miss.
General comments: Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell field operative and the main character of the series) has been arrested for conspiracy toward acts of terrorism, after the death of his daughter caused by a drunk driver Sam goes of the rails, ending up in the wrong company. As a team of specialists look back through Sam's long service record they discuss his previous missions trying to find information that either clear his name or incriminate him further.
