Good Points: Good optics Positive adjustment clicks Sidewheel + large extra sidewheel included in mine Two piece sunshades. Front flip up cover as standard.
Bad Points: A little hefty, could have been made with more of a weight issue in mind.
General comments: I originally bought this scope on special offer from uttings.com for '£99. This very scope can be seen for sale '£190 on different websites. So price wise its a right bargin!
It arrived in a well protected and large package. The box was most adequate for the scope and gave the impression of a very professional scope.
First impressions of this scope are, "Caww aint it big!" Its definitly not a small scope. Its also a little heavy which may cause problems for someone whos looking for a lightweight combo.
I put my scope on my .22 S410K and it has since seen service on my newer .177 S410K and my .22 Ruger. It has excelled in every situation, from precision target work to hardcore vermin control.
As said before my scope came with a free sidewheel and a flipup cover for the objective lense. I also got the two piece sun shade and screw in covers for the objective and rear eyebell to protect the lenses.
My only gripe with the scope was when I put it on my rifle, the medium mounts I had were only just too small. I used some shims to fix the problem which could have been avoided by having the scope as a 50mm, I'm not really sure what possessed Hawke to make it 52mm...
Performance wise, its done its job really well. I couldn't ask for a better scope considering the money I paid for it and what I'm asking it to do,
However other scopes to look out for are the Nikko Stirling sidewheel scopes, JSR Scopes and as always the AGS SWAT scopes are a best buy if you can afford the extra.

Hawke 4-12x52:
I've stuck this cope on my .177 Air Arms S410 with a bipod and it looks like the dogs unmentionables. It has a 25mm tube but it looks more like a 30mm.
The only thing I don't like is that the ranges printed on the sidewheel are not very accurate. It said that a measured target 25 yards away was just over 30. I can sort this problem by covering the scale and setting it my self. I just wonder why Hawke didn't leave it blank in the first place.
Oh well, overall it is impressiv ...
