Good Points: Reliability has been phenominal! Quick, handles, stops on a dime...

Bad Points: Gas mileage (for a 4 cylinder) is less than average for this class of car. 22-24 mpg around town, 28-ish mpg on the highway...driving barely sub-felonious speeds. ;)

General comments: I purchased My Nissan Sentra SE 2.0L SR20DE Sedan in May 2001. I do an extreme amount of traveling. In just under 4 years I've put over 100K miles on it.
    Flawless reliability!
Just the normal maintainence - oil changes, tires and brakes. No oil burning or loss between oil changes yet (!) Amazing for how I push this thing on a daily basis.
The SR20DE is a quick revver with power everywhere in the rev range. Redline is 6750 rpm and loves to be there. This motor was designed for racing applications with large amounts of turbo boost and is available outside-the-U.S. with such enhancements (Sylvia - basically a 240SX variant). This motor was the cause of a "highlight scene" in Fast/Furious I. Anyways: It's built tight as hell.
A lot of what they learned on this motor went into the VQ series of motors (350Z, Maxima, G35 etc.)
This car has the 4 whl disc brake package, tuned suspension and 16's with 50's all around so it handles and stops with the better portion of vehicles available today.
Bone stock I still walk away from tuned V-Tech civics and such. Like I said earlier, I don't baby this car by any means. The fact is I push and abuse this SE so much I really take it's reliability for granted.
It figures it ended up being so reliable since I bought the extended warrantee at the time of purchase. (sigh) More $$ I gave away for nothing - great...
And just think, I could've given the $$ to you so you wouldn't have to be so bored looking up these silly reviews. :D lol It's OK, I promise.
I got her at $15K-ish, loaded with power everything, A factory 7 speaker sound system with subwoofer (!) It's not all that though, a free-air 8" mounted under the rear deck, 6 3/4's on either side of that, 6 3/4's in the front doors and tweet's up in the pillars.
I may actually keep this one through the financing period and not trade it in on my next new one...which will be the first time that ever has happened in my short life. This is my 4th new car. All other's have been traded in premature to fulfilling the 60 month loans.
I still enjoy driving this car as much as the first year I got her.
