I have been wanting to see this show for several years and finally got to go this week. It was beter than I thought it would be and was not dissapointed in the least. The lead characters were amazing and so was the chorus. Musically wise it was excellent. The main strengths of the show are the two main lead characters - Elphaba and Glinda. Their voices were strong and they captivated the audience. It's a feel good show!

I believe one of the best musicals around at the moment. Was absolutly spell bound from the very start. The whole cast were excellent and the set was second to none. Would recommend this show to anyone.

    Wicked - Once was enough.

I've loved musicals all my life, but I have to say I really didn't like this one.

The green witch is hated from birth, and the result of an unplanned pregancy. A love song is made into a song of loathing, and Galinda glorifies being popular. Unfortunately, tons of teenie boppers are singing the song wanting to be popular, not recognizing it's a cautionary tale...

When I scanned the audience as the wizard was singing his solo about the stroking of ego and giving peopl ...

Well I was really looking forward to seeing Wicked, I'd been wanting to see it for over a year now and someone got me tickets for a present so I was so excited. Unfortunately I was extremely let down and even bored. I was expecting an edgy, slightly dark, spiky, catchy musical and instead it was like high school musical with a green faced girl.

The songs were mediocre, there were a couple that were good but even then they were ballads, not exciting, rocking songs that make you tap your feet ...

Went to see Wicked aswell as We Will Rock You and was looking forward to Wicked so much more. Have to say, was slightly disapointed. The set and special effects were incredible, especially the huge dragon just above the stage. However, i found the story quite hard to follow and the songs were repetitive. I know it was the character, but Glinda's voice really irritated me!! Kerry Ellis was incredible though and i got shivers through defying gravity. Altogether, thought it was a bit over rated and ...

The whole stage production of Wicked is amazing. Nothing looks cheap, it's what you can call and super production, big budget.Absolutely brilliant musical! Fantastic music.

I have seen Wicked twice now, once last November and again in March this year. It is AMAZING!
The two times i have seen it the lead roles have been played by different women, but all of them were equally amazing. Kerry Ellis in particular has an outstanding voice and i spent most of the show with goosebumps caused by her voice.

It is a very clever show and completely changes your thoughts regarding the original Wizard of Oz film.
It made me laugh and cry and i was spellbound by the talented ...

Wicked was the first musical I ever saw in the West End, and I was not disappointed.

From the moment the dragon towering above the stage came to life to signal the beginning of the show, I was spellbound in my seat. This show has everything - enormous, colourful, glittering and above all, realistic sets, a cast of hugely talented actors and actresses who carried their parts perfectly, a script that moved you to tears when required, and laughter when needed! The story was brilliant - it tied i ...

Wicked was an absolutely astonishing experience. The score is perfect, with an absolutely stunning orchestra. All leads give outstanding performances, Kerry Ellis being stand-out. She will make you cry, make you laugh and give you goosebumps. The script is extremely well-written. Laughs-a-plenty and it runs so smoothly into the Wizard of Oz timeline. Be warned, your thoughts of Oz will change dramatically, and not necessairly 'For Good'. Good points were the music, the script, the costume, the ...

The staging, set and costumes were brilliant. The singing of the two leads was first rate. However I found everything else about the production was tedious in the extreme - the plot was thin, hthe jokes unfunny, the rest of the maiin cast beside the two leads were weak.

We saw Wicked last night and actually left the theatre at the interval. Great for a younger audience but very boring for me aged 26. The cast were brilliant but not an interesting story. Cast and singing were brilliant.

I thought the whole of Wicked was excellent so good I have seen it twice now! I advise anyone who hasn't seen it yet to go and see it. Best musical by far. Also ignore all the bad reviews they oviously have no humour, it was not boring or lame as they put it. All the songs, costumes, jokes, actors n especially the scenery was amazing. A must see! Everything was Excellent!

I am a relatively reserved 16 year old from England. I first saw Wicked on 26th March 2008. And i can honestly it changed my life "for good". Kerry Ellis' performance as Elphaba blew me away, her singing is exceptional and is one of the best talents we have in this country, her performance of "im not that girl" brought me to tears and her spellbinding rendition of Defying Gravity sent chills down my spine. Dianne Pilkington wowed as G(a)linda. Her performance of Popular had me in absolute fits o ...

Brilliant, catchy music. Very clever plot. Not too much depth. Great fun for all the family. Will touch everyone who watches it. But a comparatively poor climax in the second act. Best musical I have seen. Ever! It gave me an amazing feeling :)!

Fantastic...was blown away by cast, orchestra, writer, backstage, lighting, effects, onstage/offstage help...the entire performance blew me away, i saw it twice and intend to see it next year also and many a time to follow...best show I've seen! Very professional and excellently presented. I was pleased and felt that it really was a good use of my money both times, although expensive, i don't regret it.

At around three hours long this musical takes a very very long time to get to the point so much so I dropped off to sleep 4 times in the first half. The songs were really really weak, the jokes and repetitive and childish. I can't believe how expensive this is also give the cast is small and the staging is not particularly spectacular.

I can't say that i particularly enjoyed this show and it did seem a bit overhyped. I am a regular theatre goer and thought this was the worst show i have seen this year. I would have been very disappointed if i had paid the £60 face value for the ticket

Heard about this musical when it opened and wasn't really rushing to see it. Eventully went and can strongly say that it was the best decision i have made in a while. I found nothing to fault with this muscial apart from as a Wizard of Oz fan the story doesn't really make sense when put together but that does not matter one bit. The songs can be heard again and again and won't get old. I recommend seeing it 100%.

I have been waiting to see this musical since forever! So when the time came and I went to New York to see it, I was quite emotional and incredibly excited!
I have seen many musicals and play since I study theatre studies at school, but this one was just in the lead, way ahead along with elements of Blood Brothers and with the magical Billy Elliot.
Firstly I must mention the staging, very magical, interesting and exciting, loved it.
Foremost, the cast! The cast! Such a strong strong cast, I ho ...

Overall the critics got it about right about Wicked. The music is uplifting and the set, costumes and lighting is fabulous. The story can be difficult to follow at times, but I would advise going.
