Good Points: Wicked Witch of the West is a good singer - far and away better than the rest.
Bad Points: Everything! 3 hours long, expensive, limited stage effects, really weak songs.
General comments: At around three hours long this musical takes a very very long time to get to the point so much so I dropped off to sleep 4 times in the first half. The songs were really really weak, the jokes and repetitive and childish. I can't believe how expensive this is also give the cast is small and the staging is not particularly spectacular.

I can't say that i particularly enjoyed this show and it did seem a bit overhyped. I am a regular theatre goer and thought this was the worst show i have seen this year. I would have been very disappointed if i had paid the £60 face value for the ticket

Heard about this musical when it opened and wasn't really rushing to see it. Eventully went and can strongly say that it was the best decision i have made in a while. I found nothing to fault with this muscial apart from as a Wizard of Oz fan the story doesn't really make sense when put together but that does not matter one bit. The songs can be heard again and again and won't get old. I recommend seeing it 100%.

I have been waiting to see this musical since forever! So when the time came and I went to New York to see it, I was quite emotional and incredibly excited!
I have seen many musicals and play since I study theatre studies at school, but this one was just in the lead, way ahead along with elements of Blood Brothers and with the magical Billy Elliot.
Firstly I must mention the staging, very magical, interesting and exciting, loved it.
Foremost, the cast! The cast! Such a strong strong cast, I ho ...

Overall the critics got it about right about Wicked. The music is uplifting and the set, costumes and lighting is fabulous. The story can be difficult to follow at times, but I would advise going.

This musical is absolutely amazing. I have never ever clapped so much - it is exciting to see this and everything about it is amazing. The singing is absolutely amazing - Kerry Ellis is the best singer I have ever heard! There is a scene which makes me cry even when I hear the music of it. Every scene gets you clapping at the end of it and you just walk out thinking "Oh..my..goodness.." and a person I know who totally dislikes musicals came to me and went "Thank you for making me see Wicked - it ...

Was sort of blackmailed into going to see Wicked by my girlfriend.
To tell the truth the storyline for me was none evident but my girlfriend loved it and that was the main thing.
The singing I couldn't fault and was enjoyable.
The costs of the extras i.e. programme and drinks etc was high.

Wicked is my favourite show of all time. I have seen it four times in London and am seeing it for the fifth time in July and I hope one day to see it on Broadway! I saw it twice with Idina Menzel who was in Wicked on Broadway for, I think, over a year before she came to London. She was outstanding. I have never seen a performance like it from an actress in a musical. Everytime she sang I almost had a tear coming out of my eye! The whole show is breathtaking: the dances, the singing, the acting, ...

Wicked, Gershwin Theater, NYC - When I first bought the tickets to Wicked, I almost regretted buying them. A musical about the Wizard of Oz? Thats old, right? I was mistaken. Wicked tells a whole different side to the story that is very interesting. Wicked also had a good blend of humor and love, which kept me on the edge of my seat. Shoshana Bean was perfect! Her voice is so soothing and relaxing that you cannot wait for her to sing another song. Wicked has now risen to be one of my favorite mu ...
