General comments: The O2 X1 is a fab phone even better than the new ones out. It looks great small and stylish what more could you want.

The O2 X1 is a nice mobile phone. It looks great and it is small.
Sometimes when using the camera it often went funny and could not take pictures. Lots of times it turns itself off whenever it wants to. The phone often froze when it wanted to, which was quite a lot. Rubbish coverage, and it wasn't the network, as I got it unlocked and used Meteor and Vodafone, and it still had bad coverage.

When I first got the O2 X1 mobile phone it looked nice and the display was bright. A few weeks later the games stopped working, it would crash, the ringtones started to stop working, and you can't get the photos off of the phone. It was a complete waste of money. Seriously, don't ever buy this phone unless you're getting it as a joke.

Bought the O2 x1 mobile in Dec 03. Had it not even 1 day and the problems started! Then after 4 months had enough of it turning off by itself so brought it back to the shop. Shop gave me a brand new O2X1 then the problems started again after 1 week!

Then after 6 months I switched it off to reset the internet cos it was going slow... Went to switch it back on and surprise wouldn't switch back on!!!

Went back to shop and they gave me a brand new O2X2. Had the x2 for about 8 months let me t ...

I have a O2 x1 now, it's so great! But I can't download any images or pictures. When I loads a picture (connected GPRS), the screen warned: "web server returns a too large message" I don't know how to download it, I think memory is too small! So can you help me!

I've had this phone for about a year and a half and at first I really loved this phone, it looked good and I liked the features such as the video camera and the good quality photo camera which was easy to use and send picture msgs easily. However many problems, the battery life display which was misleading as to how much battery life I did acctually have. Not much memory capacity for photos, videos and messages. Another thing about the video camera is that it played back at double the speed whic ...

Please don't buy this phone, the O2 X1 is the biggest waste of money ever! I bought it last Jan and it was fine for 1 month then little faults appeared but I couldn't be bothered to take it to the shop so I put up with it. Then it would freeze all the time and not send texts/make calls. I took it to the shop and they sent it away for repairs as they said it was a common fault and they could not mend it so they replaced it with the promise that it would not happen again. The same thing happened s ...

I bought this phone in April and after a few weeks all the problems started. It was forever switching on and off I couldn't play the games on it beacuase it just froze out all the time. So I took it back to the link where I purchased it from and they gave me a new phone of the same model they said it was probably just the actual phone. Then after a few months again it started doing its old tricks so it was sent away and "repaired" but it was still playing up so now I've sent it off again and the ...

The cost of e-mailing pictures to myself is 30 or 40 pence. Not worth it most of the time.
There is no way to send videos so why include the feature.
I thought a data cable might be the answer to extracting pictures and videos but, like a previous reviewer, got only a runaround from O2.
The shop reocmmended I try the O2 website.
No joy. An e-mail to their help desk recommended I go to their telephone shop. They recommended I go to a real shop.
Back to the real shop and they recommended Maxo ...

Within a couple of days of receiving my X1 which I obtained through Sainsburys Mobiles the X1 started the freezing mode. I was advised (after several phone calls) to remove the Sim replace it and the phone would be ok!! Wrong! I have put up with the phone continually Freezing and switching Off on me for longer than I should have until it would just switch off as soon as I switched it on. In August I took it to Carphone Warehouse where after two weeks they advised the phone was beyond repair ...

My daughter bought this X1 phone with her xmas money and hasn't had a days luck with it since! It has already been repaired and has never worked properly, we are now in the process of having it repaired again. The same problem constantly arising i.e. turning itself off or freezing. Never again will we purchase such a sub standard phone.

The O2 X1 is the best phone that I've ever had, it's the easiest thing to use once you get used to it and the features on it are great, I've had mine for about 9 months now and it's done me nothing but good all along. Some people say it freezes, switches off etc, but mine has never done that, it has frozen a few times when I'm finding the name to send a text but usually it's a great joy 2 use and that problem I've easily found a way to solve, when you're writing a text message, before you send i ...

Overall I think the O2X1 is a great phone and would definatly recommend it despite its flaws. It is a big improvement on my Nokia 3200 which was also a good phone but the camera was of poor quality. I love the camera on the O2X1 and the screen display is A+++
I'd recommend to anyone its great, texting is good when you get used to the buttons.

My dad pays my contract, and every year he gets me a new contract - so in October when the phone had only been out a few weeks, I got the O2 X1 - at first I thought great, but then when I was at school it kept turning itself off - which is very annoying! Also - on the box there is a picture of an anolog clock on the front screen and I wasn't sure how to put it on - so I went into The Link to ask how to put it on and I was told that I had loads of software missing and was asked if I bought it fro ...

I got my O2 X1 for my birthday in April. I waited since Christmas to get one as they were sold out in every shop. So far I haven't had that many problems with it. It's frozen a couple of times and turned itself off. My friend has the same phone and has had loads of problems with it. The sim card only holds 10 messages which I think is poor for an up to date phone! Texting is really annoying as well cos its so slow.

I bought my O2 X1 phone in February. Within 3 months, the phone refused to charge and therefore ran dead. I took it to Phones4U where I bought it from and they sent off the phone and charger to be repaired, sayind it would take 3 weeks. 6 weeks later I got my phone back - with no charger. I then had to wait a further 2 weeks for Phones4U to find a phone as the mrc had thrown mine away as Phones4U did not claim it quickly enough. Now my phone freezes regularly, the colour on the screen fades and ...

If, like me, you have had endless problems with the O2 X1, help is at hand. I rang O2 to complain that the replacement phone they had supplied me with has started to present the same problems as my original phone ie switching itself off, freezing etc. They quickly said that they would send me a pack to return it to them, and provide me with an X2! So- don't put up with the X1- lets hope the X2 hasn't got the same problems!

When I first got my O2 X1 I was pleased because it had many classy features. But after a month it started to turn off after turning it on (really annoying). It then started freezing and I usually have to turn to the menu twice before it works. Also my messages have been coming in late. This phone is really annoying me and I will be asking for a completely different phone.
