Video quality and ease of use are great camera was a bargain

However, the sound gets interference when plugged in to tv difficult to set date and time.

All in all the JVC GR-D33EK is a good camera really as someone else said use of extention sockets and leads has usb socket so far not been able to get the lead anywhere.

I have to disagree with previous reviewer. I bought the JVC GR-D33EK digital camcorder as a back-up to a much more highly-rated (and expensive) Canon MV 650i. The Canon has suffered multiple problems (black screen, destroying tapes, poor picture quality), while the trusty (but cheap) JVC has taken over as the first choice (albeit with sound dubbed over). The picture quality is good in all light conditions, but the excessive motor noise drowns out any decent sound (and no external mic socket).

The autofocus hunts too much and any movement by the user leads to unfocused footage even with the stabilising set on.
I think, however, that the worst part of this unit is the ability to shoot in all light levels. If the light level falls you might ...
