Good Points: Makes history interesting, not dry and academic. Brings the period to life and makes you want to know more.

Bad Points: No bad points in my opinion.

General comments: Paul Strathern, The Medici: Godfathers of the Renaissance - I found this book an enthralling read. The author has a wonderful grasp of, and affection for, his subject. This is not a 'dry' read, it is written in a way that makes you want to explore the period further. The Medici were pivotal and influential in these turbulent times and great sponsors of art and science. History is fascinating, this book proves it!
