“My biggest mistake”

After over 30 years of driving without making a claim I made the mistake of changing my insurance because of a very competitive price. Because of a mistake on the declaration, which was my error, I was asked to provide several additional documents which I scanned and sent by email the same day, but despite numerous phone calls 5 weeks later the policy is still with the underwriters. “Avoid”

I went to Zurich with my car insurance from NFU Mutual ( excellent but expensive). I took 40 years no claims bonus with me and after a year with Zurich and no claims and having paid extra for no claims protection I find that has been reduced to 6 years with no explanation. The call centre staff and customer service staff have been polite and helpful but seem unable to help. “Insurance Claim”

The most TERRIBLE insurance company I've ever heard and dealt with. I had car accident not by my fault in August 2013 now its January and still dealing with them. At first asked for all the relevant paperwork regarding the accident to be sent to them, just to have them few weeks later asking for the same as they missed handled and lost all the information's. I got the policy in september 2013. On 20/11/13 i received a letter dated 16/11/13 asking me to provide copies of DL, V5, etc. within 7 days. The same day i sent the copies to them through there freepost service address. I got an email stating that your policy is cancelled with effect fro 22/11/13 @ 00:00. I was shocked. Demanded I send every single piece of documentation regarding the car insurance to them within 14 days, including my parents driving licenses, when I attempted to remove my parents they tried to charge me and extra £100! “No Communication and Harsh Debt collection.”

I took out insurance with this outfit on one occasion and I will never do so ever again. My direct debit got cancelled due to no fault of my own and they then took it upon themselves to cancel my insurance at the same time. I was more than willing to pay what was due but they instead passed this on to a nasty filthy debt collector. “Car insurance”

Changed my car and was charged over £ 138 which I though was expensive then luckily I looked at my statement and saw they had charged me twice. No apology and said will take 5-7 days for a refund although it took them minutes to take my money. Robbers comes to minds. Rubbish customer service. Stay away!!!!… Read Full Review

“Unreasonable information demand after 14 day cool off...”

Zurich waited until 19 minutes after the 14 day cooling off period ended and sent an unreasonable email requesting all 3 drivers license copies, vehicle V5 copy and NCD proof despite previously stating it was not necessary. It transpires that Zurich staff had been unable to locate us on the voters roll and as such declared that we were 'untruthful' when applying for the quote. “One Word - Terrible”

My wife was hit while sitting at a red light by the car taking a left turn in the lane next to her. His mirror hit and broke my wife's mirror. It's only $250 worth of damage, but filing a claim with this sorry excuse for a company is like going into a black hole. Most insurance companies will respond fairly quickly with their assessors, but these people don't return phone calls or respond to emails. 3 months we have been waiting for an on-going claim after my car was written off. The driver excepted liability straight away which we was pleased about and thought now it will be “plain sailing”. We thought wrong! First Zurich kept changing the day to pick the car up, when they did come they brought the wrong truck and had to come back – this was after telling them that the car is not moveable several times. I have called the 5 times and emailed them about sending my no claim bonus letter and 5 times they deducted my no claim bonus without any reason even when it is fully protected. I am very upset that such a big company like this managed to this. I am never coming back to them… Read Full Review

“Hope you dont have to go through what I have with them”

I have had to deal with these jerks now for over a month because their insured ran a stop sign and made an Illeagle right turn infront of me and now wanted to pay me way less than what the estimate i sent them if you call you can never get ahold of them and have not returned several calls I finaly got a email from them because i sent the company Utillipath an email about how they was jerking me around and now have to make complaints with the department on insurance in my state to settle what… Read Full Review

Zurich Ireland . Zurich Ireland fail to honour comprehensive car insurance claim. “Policy cancelled of being late 2 days!”

I was customer with Zurich for 3 years, had no claims, no penalties just paid them for 3 years without even bothering them. This year i could manage to pay my renewal on time, however i did contact them and explained the situation. “THIRD PARTY HIT AND RUN”

I am the victim of a hit and run. The third party is insured with Zurich. My vehicle was stationary on my carriageway at the time of the hit and run. Third party did not give correct insurance details. Third party has continually changed his story. Third party was allowed to submit a witness statement although Zurich admit this is not independent.
