Under no circumstances order from this company got to Victoria Plumb instead. If interested pls read on. I purchased 2 Smartap shower systems 4 years ago with a 5 year warranty. Both showers do not now work and Smartap no longer exist. I the purchaser have a contract with the retailer (Better Bathrooms) who have asked for so much information including a damage report from my electrician which I have provided only for them to now say I need to take it up with the manufacturer which is one, incorrect and two they no longer exist. Most people bought their Smartap systems from Victoria Plumb who are a decent company and honouring their customer contracts. Better Bathrooms are a sham and are at this point refusing to refund even though I have provided all the they evidence asked for and the showers are clearly faulty and still under warranty!!!! I will update this review with more info as I get their responses. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, there are plenty of decent suppliers out there.

“Do not order anything from here!!!”

Worst company I ever had to deal with. Delivered a £440 bathtub late and damaged with a big crack at the top and all they wanted to offer was £60 in vouchers because they thought the crack wasn’t too bad. Absolute joke!! We’ve been trying for a week now to get rid of the damaged bathtub and get our money back. After countless calls, emails and many incompetent customer service people I’m still no further. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE EVER!!

“Avoid, Time wasters, Unprofessional, Unreliable”

Avoid at all costs. Ordered New Year, all stated in stock. Then email showed delivery as 24th Jan, with a delivery cost of £24.99. No contact from them, told on the 8th there would be delay as had to come from manufacturer, told on the 9th items either no longer stocked or discontinued, customer service supposed to contact with alternatives, yet there are no valid alternatives. Purchased in the sale, now I have missed opportunities to get sale price from other vendors as sales are now over.

“Awful Customer Service”

I had previously reviewed Better Bathrooms for their showroom and staff within who were helpful. Unfortunately I have to follow up with the dreadful customer service.- On receiving our goods which where damaged we requested a replacement, all good so far. Replacement arrived and also damaged, another phone call and I wont get into the time wasted on hold for this service as enough people have commented. Our goods were collected and while arranging the pick up (we were told we could dispose of them ourselves)requested a refund which was supposed to go on the card we had used for payment, this was 8 DEC 2018, received an email 17 Dec stating payment was being processed. 08 January rang to see why we had not received refund also queried a further item that had been out of stock on our initial order and we were supposed to be receiving notification when back in stock. Told item was discontinued but at no time had they contacted us and told us this and asked on the phone 'did we want a refund?' a cheque was received in part payment of our refund (who uses cheques these days)cheque dated 08 Jan, accompanying letter dated 17 Dec, and posted 18 Jan. We had paid over £400 for goods (may lot be a massive amount to some people) but due to not receiving refund as promised we have been unable to purchase the goods elsewhere and am paying amount off credit card with interest for goods returned early December. An email was sent to Better (joke) bathrooms on Monday 21 January which has still not been responded to today Thursday 24 Jan. All I can say is DO NOT use this pathetic joke of a company unless you want the aggravation of not only receiving shoddy goods but fighting to get your money refunded. I will be seeking legal advice if no response from joke bathrooms in the next couple of days.

“DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE”

Disgusting customer service. Ordered a shower and bath tap on 06/01/2018. Told 3-5 working days for delivery. Nothing turned up. Contacted the Leigh showroom to be told I had to speak to customer services. After over 20 mins on hold got through to someone who couldn’t give me any info when my order would be received. I was told they ‘could try to find out’. Requested a refund so I could purchase elsewhere, as I have no shower or bath and have now been told I have to wait 7-10 working days for my money back. Not interested that I don’t have a shower or bath in the meantime! Avoid at all costs. Advertising products as in stock on their website when they are clearly not as they order direct from manufacturer! False advertising. Poor response to loyal customers. Will not be recommending this place to anyone, in fact quite the opposite.

Absoloutley shocking service from the customer service team ordered over £3000 worth of products. Spent £1200 on a bath and upon opening the package bath was damaged. Informed customer service team and they refused to get the crack on the bath repaired. Very uncompassionate don’t fare about the customer. Yes they won’t be beaten on price but the levels of service is terrible and no common understanding acknowledged from customer behalf. If you do take anything of these guys be careful as product quality and service not good. Save your money and hassle and go somewhere else cos the headache is not worth it with these guys. Hope this helps and no one else has £1200 stolen from them. They are as bad as criminals for what they have done all I wanted was for a quick repair not a new bath.

“Poor customer experience ”

My personal experience of using this company means I have to say stay well away from using them as there are more reputable companies out there that actually care about their customers. Visited the store on three occasions before making the purchase and each time the assistants were totally unwelcoming and disinterested. The delivery did not arrive on the first scheduled date which meant a long wait when calling Customer Services and no apology given. On the second day of waiting in, the delivery colleagues dropped my order and damaged my drive. Another call to Customer Services where no empathy shown or apology for what had happened and they thought sending me a replacement was enough. On the third day of waiting in, the item was faulty but I repaired it myself as I do not want to speak with this company ever again. This is an abridged version of events as I could go on. Avoid at all costs unless you’re happy with a poor experience.

“Really, Really Awful”

Customer service is dreadful. You have to wait an age for someone to answer, in fact I have tried several times and no one has answered. i can hang for 20 minutes and then be cut off. I paid extra for a delivery service, I got a text saying my 'next day' delivery would be arriving. My goods turned up 4 days later. I had to pay an extortionate fee to have my goods returned. This has been a horrible experiece. I am renovating a house and have used several online delivery services all have been great. Better bathrooms are a waste of time.

“Poor quality, please avoid”

I bought a Trinity sliding door shower shower enclosure. As the names says it's a sliding door enclosure but unfortunately the shower door just doesn't slide. It seem to catch the glass holder. I contacted the store and was told all enquires will have to go through the customer service team. I called several times and got fed up waiting in a queue so thankfully I was able to email the team. The team came back via email asking for a video showing the problem. They suggested adjusting the rollers fully and it seem to make a slight improvement but still wouldn't slide. They asked for the door measurements and then sent me a replacement door. To my surprise the replacement door measured exactly the same as the one I had. This went on for several weeks and it was clear the customer team were clueless as to what the issue could be. I ended up having to use a metal grinder to cut the glass holder. This worked! Having spent over £500 on the enclosure I'm completely shocked I've had to take to such extreme measures for a workaround. I won't be shopping there again! Bad mistake. Please avoid.

“very poor after sales service ”

Having bought my bathroom from this company some time ago,I needed to replace a sink tap unit valve. On trying to buy a replacement I found that I could only do this throgh BB. What a waste of time that was, at least 45min of being passed from dept to dept, waiting in telephone ques listening to someone telling me I was 12th in the que only to be told they couldnt order the part and being transferred to wait in another que. WAISTED TIME I WILL NOT SEE AGAIN.

“Shocking customer service”

I ordered a cova bathroom suite and within a month I had it fitted . The doughnut seals connecting the cistern to the toilet were split which in essence is a fault causing water leakage . On contacting the company , after many calls and emails I eventually had a response telling me to send pictures , which I did . I was them told that it was an installation issue and Better Bathrooms could not help me . How they could tell this I have no idea as the seals are hidden and unless the cistern was dismantled nobody would know what daily there was . On realising I couldn’t disprove their response I asked for a product code to buy and replace the said parts . 3 weeks on , after 40minutes on telephone calls and many emails to different departments still no response . This morning I contacted a showroom ( who had previously told me that they couldn’t find the part without the code and I would need to contact another department ) and was told that they don’t sell parts separately for this toilet . What a complete waste of time and money . Customer service is shocking , and I’d go as far as to say ignorant . My bathroom fitter has tried universal seals but nothing stems this leak so I’m now in a position of living with it or replacing the whole unit . Definately will not use this company again and would warn others against it too . They’re quick enough to take your money but absolutely no help when it’s needed . I would have thought that customer service would have been important to them but clearly not . If I could I wouldn’t give them one star !!

“Take care with this company”

Take care dealing with this slippery company. I ordered a vanity unit from ebay, supplied by Better Bathrooms. When I first looked, the price was £454.99. By the time I ordered, having registered as 'watching', and been on and off the site a few times, the price had gone up to £499.99. I was a bit annoyed that I hadn't ordered it at the lower price, but went ahead and bought it. I returned to the site a couple of days later, and surprise, surprise, the price was back down to £454.99. I sent an email asking for an explanation, and a £45 refund. I was told the price fluctuates. That's all. No refund, no apology. What an extraordinary coincidence that it fluctuated in the few hours around my order!! The delivery was on time, but it came with one man. How did he intend getting it into the house??? Fortunately the two builders happened to be there. They carried it upstairs to the new bathroom. He flatly refused to go any further than the living room. Better Bathrooms are not to blame for the product itself (Nottingham 1000 Ivory Combination Unit), as they just sell it - they don't make it. I ordered this one because it was deeper than the old one, and I hoped it would have larger cupboard and drawer space. No way. There is a false back along the centre of the unit. So out of the depth of approximately 40cm, the cupboards and drawers have a depth of approximately 20cm. There is nothing in the measurement diagrams on line to show this. Very very annoying.

Please, please, please, please stay away from this RUBBISH company. Below is an account of my bad experience. I tried to buy some toilets yesterday (12/02/2018) but I had problems with the website and I could not conclude my transaction. Below is the description of the item. Cova Toilet and Seat Product Code: 6813 It cost £55 at the time of the purchase and the price has risen to £69.00 I tried calling the company today (13/02/2018) to discuss my problems with them. The menu system on the telephone system asked me for an Order Number and since I did not complete my order, I did not have one. After 5 attempts of calling the Customer Services and after trying various menu options, I was still unsuccessful to talk to Customer Services. Calling the Customer Services without an Order Number is a waste of time and you will not be connected to nobody. Eventually, I entered an arbitrary Order Number and I was able to speak to a lady by the name of Mel. I explained to her my problem and she was not interested and she told me categorically that I don't have a complaint. I asked her to transfer me to a manager and she refused CATEGORICALLY and she said that she is a senior member of staff. I asked her 4 times again whether she is a manager before she eventually answered that she is not a manager and after a long drawn unnecessary conversation, she then agreed to arrange a call back for me from a manager. Till now, there is no call back from no manager. We found the conduct and behaviour of the person I dealt with and this organisation to be unprofessional, comical, unacceptable, laughable, repulsive and disgusting and it demonstrates total disrespect for the customers. This company have bad customer services and do not have a complaint procedure in place and hence it did not take complaint seriously and di not deal with complaint properly. If I was to sum up my experience in one word, it has been RUBBISH. If you are lucky enough to complete your transaction without having to speak to the Customer Services, then you are lucky otherwise you will encounter great difficulties if you need to speak to them. I have previously bought from this company in the past and WITHOUT having to speak to the Customer Services. If you are unfortunate enough and you need to speak to the Customer Services, then I would strongly advise you to lease, please, please, please stay away from this company.

Our experience was similar to many other reviewers, from sales staff initially helpful to constantly postponed delivery (which we finally cancelled). After numerous phone calls to their hopeless customer service staff, we managed to get a full refund, much to our relief. We re-ordered from another supplier whose service was excellent. I wish we had seen reviews on here before using Better Bathrooms. DO NOT GO NEAR THEM!

An absolute disgrace of a company!!! They think they are above the law. These jokers have supplied me with a bathroom and the basin is broken, whilst they have agreed to replace the unit, i am now left having to find extra funds to cover the charges the plumber is going to charge as he is having to come back to finish the job. After speaking with citizens advice bureau they have advised i am able to request a refund of consequential loss which means they have to cover the additional costs incurred. I have saved extremely hard for this bathroom to be installed and now cannot afford the extra costs being incurred to have the plumber come back and finish the job. I have been left with no washing facilities and only toilet only as the bathroom cannot be completed until the replacement unit is delivered which is also going to cost me money as i have to take additional time off work to wait for delivery and also additional time for the plumber to come back. Their response was, i should have read their terms and conditions which state i should have checked it over before got the plumber in. A cheaper bathroom from better bathrooms has ended up costing me more. I'd go with a company who will actually help you with after sales service and not a gang of jokers who will waive T's and Cs at you..

“Terrible Service ”

Ordered a £350 shower for them a week in advance and paid for delivery. Shower has now gone missing somewhere and now due to not being able to get through to the customer services on the phone i have no idea where the product is. Avoid this company at all costs just go and collect anything you need as this company has terrible reviews!

I ordered 2 x shower doors and arranged for them to be delivered yesterday and had arranged for a tradesman to be on-site to fit the shower doors. The delivery driver arrived and then when he went to get the goods off his van, found that the depot had not put them on. I called customer services who were very unhelpful and even rude like it was my fault they had forgotten to put my order on their van. They said they could not arrange a same day delivery and said I had to wait 24 hours for them to confirm with the depot which meant they couldn't even deliver them the next day, and gave no apology. I requested that if they could not arrange a same day delivery that i wanted a refund of the £29.99 delivery charge and the goods be delivered free of charge the next day as a minimum. The lady said once she has confirmation from the depot she will sort out the paperwork. I waited 24 hours and no call and no delivery, so I called them to be told they had refunded the whole order and would not deliver free of charge as it is their terms and conditions. This has left me out of pocket, as had to pay for the tradesman call out and with two apartments with showers out of service. Shocking customer service and my company who cover apartment blocks all over the UK and Ireland will not be using again, nor would I recommend to anyone else. As a business you cannot take the risk with unreliable suppliers who do not rectify their mistakes.

Messed up our order - sent the wrong bath panel then basically told us it was our fault (how I'm not exactly sure - we ordered in store and clearly pointed to the one we wanted on screen). When first replacement finally arrived it was damaged, we were told another one would be with us two days later, it's been weeks now and still no sign. Apparently delivery has been pushed back *again* to December 1st, but we had to ring to find this out as no-one bothered telling us. Once they've sold you your items they don't give a damn about whether you actually get them or not. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
