Really Bad

I got recommended from a famous site so I got with this hosting but everything turn out really bad.

I create an account, make order and waiting but they reject it, they ask for verification documents (wonder why it's necessary!), and later on they completely reject my order and ask me to do business else where.

Such a nice support, they don't like money, don't like to have customer, maybe they think they famous enough.

Hello, i have 3 years in Westhost (reseller account), i think is strange what i read here because i always reached to tech support by Chat in a responsive way. I generally never have waited.

Now what i see is about speed of some of my sites, i think before they were bougth by other company they were ok.

I never have had troubles with servers. Even i was notified in a moment on used resources by one website (it was real problem) as i could not fix i prefered to change the website to dedicated server (other hosting company).

Now i am thinking to change to other servers with no problems with speed.

But i think websites with html only using no databases or many images can be ok in Westhost.

When I Called Inquiring About Their Service. I To

When I called inquiring about their service. I told them that I had a custom Miva script, and the rep at Westhost said that it would all come set up with the necessary files to run miva. When I called their tech support they said that they don't provide support for custom scripting. They told me would have to upgrade to business pro plan. I can understand them not providing support for a custom script, but I wasn't asking for that was just asking for them to provide me with advertised tools be be able to run miva. Their tech phone support provides terrible support also. If you are researching hosting, be very warned about starting a hosting plan for this. They did not make any effort at all to keep me as a customer. All they would have had to have done is have one of their server admin put the necessary miva conf files in my cgi-bin and my script would have ran their. Now I am just running away!!!

They Used To Be Good. Then They Messed Up My Accou

They used to be good. Then they messed up my account information after a beta upgrade--they claim I am using 152% of my allotted disk space, when I am only using around 50% (confirmed by a tech). I keep receiving emails that my site will soon not work if this continues. I submitted a help ticket, but instead of receiving any help, I got an email from a sales rep stating that I should solve my problem by upgrading to a more expensive plan. Then he marked my ticket as "resolved," even though nothing has been resolved, and I continue to get the warning e-mails. I am switching soon; I am so done with inferior customer support (or sales teams taking over tech support--what is that??).

I'm Afraid My Experience Has Been Very Bad. Our W

I'm afraid my experience has been very bad. Our web master in the UK put our charity event web site with West Host and I'm afraid the server West Host put us on went down for several days just before our event - causing us to pay compensation to all the people who couldn't order their tickets on line at the advance price - plus the web site going dead caused real concern that the event was off. West Host were unable to divert traffic or put up a reassuring message to say it was all okay - or give accurate estimations as to how long it was going to take to resolve the problems - hours slipped to days. To date no compensation has been offered other than a measely 10 dollars! I phoned and asked to speak to people in their PR and press departments - to explain the devastation being caused to our large charitable event at such a sensitive time - I hung on that line for a very long time and was not reassured that anyone was taking the impact of their problem seriously. The web site was off air just when we were live on daytime TV in Britain promoting our event - with no where for people to look up directions or details we probably lost a big percentage of our gate thanks to West Host's problems and the charties lost revenue. Our web designer had never known a server go down for such a long time ever before. Be warned - it can happen and did happen to us and we were given no help when it did.

Westhost Offers Tomcat And Chilisoft On Some Of It

Westhost offers tomcat and chilisoft on some of its vps packages. However when you install these servers the sample applications do not even work. Look to put in long hours getting even basic things working. The site manager does nothing. They do not even provide any guidance in the proper way to stop/start servers. Totally self-serve with no support. The basic installs do not work and you must fix it for them. Total waste of time.

Www.westhost.com Have Many Problems With Technolog

www.westhost.com have many problems with technology;I have had them swap my website with someone and another time totally disable my website. It is difficult and sometimes impossible to get into tech support (becasue they admittingly turn off lines becasue tooo many people are having trouble). Despite admitted breaches in the contract that they have made, they will not refund money because they say you are in a contract. They do not take legal action seriously either.
